The Festival will feature national and international jazz musicians as well as renowned local talent. Since its inception in 2004 the Festival has included some of the top names in jazz including Boney James, Jonathan Butler, Incognito, and Maysa.

New Jersey Performing Arts Center presents Jewish Heritage, Israel and the Middle East which are four unique programs on Jewish culture, politics, and history. Admission is FREE.

Jack White has announced the premiere of a new concert film, JACK WHITE: KNEELING AT THE ANTHEM D.C.. The Prime Original production directed by Emmett Malloy and filmed at White's second sold out night at The Anthem in Washington, D.C., will be available Friday, September 21st exclusively via Amazon Prime Video globally. In addition, a six-song Amazon Original live EP with highlights from the evening will also be released on September 21st, only on Amazon Music.

The Detroit Repertory Theatre, in partnership with neighbors Dream of Detroit, the HUDA Clinic, Muslim Center, and HUG Community Garden, is excited to announce the 2nd Annual Arts & Culture Festival and Street Fair at its home in the geographical center of Detroit on Saturday, August 25, 2018 from 10 am to 8 pm. This free, all day, outdoor event is made possible by a grant from ART Ops, and Community HeART of Highland Park and is a celebration of the arts, neighborhood revitalization, healthy living, community, and the power of diversity acting in unity in Detroit.

“I don't care what the critics say or anybody else,” Spike Lee tells Zach Baron in the August issue of GQ with photos by Maciek Jasik. “But we are on the right side of history with this film.” He says that some of his projects were before their time. “A lot of my films people didn't get when they came out,” he claims. “They didn't get 25th Hour. Now people love that film.”

The Detroit Repertory Theatre, Michigan's longest running, nonprofit, professional (union) theatre, is excited to announce its 62nd Season. The four plays on the 2018/19 season include two world premieres and two midwest premieres. Miami Dade College's (MDC) Museum of Art and Design (MOAD) will present Poetry Along the Bay, an evening on a cruise ship under the stars with celebrated Cuban American poet Richard Blanco. A multifaceted writer who grew up in Miami and the author of a number of books, Blanco memorably read one of his poems at Barack Obama's second presidential inauguration in 2013. Poetry Along the Bay will take place on board the boat the Miami Lady on Friday, April 27.  Boarding will begin promptly at 7 p.m.

Theatre for a New Audience (TFANA; Jeffrey Horowitz, Founding Artistic Director) announces four TFANA Talks in connection with its new, critically lauded production of William Shakespeare's tragicomedy The Winter's Tale, directed by OBIE Award-winner Arin Arbus.
