For those who didn't have the opportunity to meet the cast of fourteen in East Lynne Theater Company's 'Ah, Wilderness!' at the after-show party at The Merion Inn, another chance is to be had on Friday, August 4 at an after-show Q&A. It's a wonderful opportunity for patrons to ask the actors and director such questions as how characters are created, what goes into selecting a season of plays, and where they have previously worked. Actors in this production have a variety of backgrounds, including performing in regional theater, film and on Broadway, and are ages 12 on up.
Detroit Repertory Theatre Receives $10,000 Grant to Fund Actors Workshop

National Endowment for the Arts Chairman Jane Chu has approved more than $82 million to fund local arts projects across the country in the NEA's second major funding announcement for fiscal year 2017. Included in this announcement is an Art Works award of $10,000 to support the Actors' Workshop at the Detroit Repertory Theatre.

Chicago Folks Operetta (CFO) is proud to announce its 2017 season titled “War and Remembrance.” Commemorating the 100th Anniversary of the United States' entry into World War I, the season includes the fully staged Chicago premiere of Kurt Weill's anti-war operetta Johnny Johnson, June 24 – July 9, “Kurt Weill and Paul Green: The Story Behind Johnny Johnson,” a lecture with performances featuring Weill Scholar Tim Carter, May 24 and the CFO premiere of a concert called Operetta and The Great War, June 28 and 29.
