Princeton University Concerts ("PUC")'s 2018-19 season will celebrate the series' 125th anniversary with a set of performances that redefine the scope of what a chamber music series can encompass. Building on PUC's long history of offering the absolute pinnacle of talent, the concerts and initiatives will blur the lines of genre, build new relationships between audiences and performers, and expand the boundaries of the concert experience.

Hear Our Voice: A Woman's Journey, a timely new oratorio written by Van Nuys High School students for the Los Angeles Master Chorale's Voices Within Oratorio Project, will be premiered by students and members of the Master Chorale on Friday, February 16 andSaturday, February 17 at the school's auditorium. The Friday performance will be for fellow students. The Saturday performance at 1 PM is presented as a free community concert and is open to the public.

2017 Regional Theatre Tony Award Recipient Dallas Theater Center (DTC) presented the North Texas Food Bank (NTFB) with $127,008.53 following the run of DTC's production of A Christmas Carol. For the tenth consecutive year, DTC collected donations and non-perishable goods during performances of A Christmas Carol from Nov. 22 to Dec. 28, 2017 to benefit NTFB.

Michigan's longest running, nonprofit, professional theatre, the Detroit Repertory Theatre will hold its Annual Black Tie Awards Night and Homecoming Celebration and Performance on Saturday, November 18, 2017 at 6:30 pm. The Black Tie is the Annual Major Fundraiser for the Theatre. Funds raised help keep the Detroit Repertory Theatre producing its diversity centered productions and support its many outreach programs that provide cultural enrichment opportunities for the uninitiated and the physically, mentally, economically and socially challenged, proving the power of diversity acting in unity.

The World Premiere of Rich Rubin's topical comedy about salmon and human relationships, Swimming Upstream, will have a Champagne Celebration on Thursday, November 2, 2017 at the Detroit Repertory Theatre at 8:30 PM. Opening Nights at the Rep are always full of camaraderie and celebration. This one will be no different. Guests are invited to join in a Champagne toast in the elegant lobby gallery of the Theatre after the show with the cast and crew. Last summer, a group form the Ohio Humanities Council visited Piqua to consider it as one of their Ohio Chautauqua sites for 2017.  Unfortunately, they were not selected, but they did encourage the group to develop their own Chautauqua event.  Well, give folks from Piqua a challenge and they deliver.  So a dedicated committee officially began working on Piqua Chautauqua! The dates for this event will be September 19, 20 & 21, 2017 from 6 to 8 p.m. and will take place at Hance Pavilion, located in Fountain Park in Piqua.

The Detroit Repertory Theatre Announces New Semester of Actors Workshop

The Detroit Repertory Theatre is pleased to announce the fall/winter semester of the Actors Workshop, beginning with registration on Saturday, September 23, 2017 at 9 am at the Detroit Rep Theatre. This semester is made possible by a grant from the National Endowment for the Arts with matching funds from the Ways & Means Community Foundation. Anyone over 18 years of age may participate and no prior experience is necessary. Scholarships for low to moderate income students are available. Income verification documents must be provided.
