The Will Geer Theatricum Botanicum's nine-year old development series for playwrights, 'Botanicum Seedlings,' announces the recipient of the first annual 'Izzy' award. The winning play, How to Shoot a Bull Moose by New York playwright Jonathan Goldberg, was presented as part of last season's spring playreadings.

'I murdered Mozart!' rings out across Europe from Composer Antonio Salieri on his death-bed. Salieri had been the toast of Europe. He had been a devout Catholic all his life. He made a pact with God that he would be the vessel through which God's music would spring. All was good until Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart arrives in Vienna. In horror Salieri determines that it is Mozart instead who is his God's chosen voice.

Ellen Geer's world premiere adaptation of Alexandre Dumas' epic, swashbuckling The Three Musketeers sweeps into the outdoor theater at Theatricum Botanicum beginning June 12. The Will Geer Theatricum Botanicum is an enchanted oasis in the midst of L.A., offering affordable, family-friendly plays in its magical, outdoor Topanga Canyon setting.

Theatricum Botanicum artistic director Ellen Geer has announced a delightfully eclectic season of plays, music, poetry and comedy improv for Summer 2010.

The woods are alive with the sound of music! Ellen Geer will star as internationally renowned opera diva Maria Callas in Master Class by Terrence McNally, opening July 3 and continuing through September 25 at the outdoor Will Geer Theatricum Botanicum in Topanga.
