Symphony Space's 2015 gala celebrated Broadway impresario Harold Prince with a star-studded musical tribute to the legendary 21 time Tony Award-winning producer/director on May 18, at Capitale. Danny Burstein hosted the evening, which featured performances by Kate Baldwin, Sierra Boggess, Santino Fontana, Jeremy Jordan, Ramin Karimloo, Norm Lewis,Rebecca Luker, Laura Osnes, and Chita Rivera. Earlier this month, The New York Pops marked its 32nd birthday with a grand gala evening celebrating the work of Music Honorees Kathleen Marshall and Rob Marshall and Corporate Honoree Carrie and Ted Pryor, Greenwich Harbor Partners. The event began with a concert at Carnegie Hall, featuring a spectacular lineup of guest artists under the baton of Music Director Steven Reineke. The performance highlighted the Marshalls' work on stage and screen. Queen Latifahjoined Broadway stars Laura Benanti, Alan Cumming, Sutton Foster, Victor Garber, Brian Stokes Mitchell, Bebe Neuwirth, Kelli O'Hara, Margo Seibert, James Snyder, and Rachel York.

If you asked me to pick a musical I loved based on nostalgia alone, it would be, without a doubt, Annie. Probably for the same reason most theatre kids will tell you; it was the very first musical I was ever in. I was in 6th grade, and I played Kathy. You probably don't know this character- that's because she doesn't actually exist. She was an addition to the script's gaggle of 6 little orphans (I believe our production had 12).
