Sinead Cusack and Clare Higgins are to play sisters Polly Wyeth and Silda Grauman respectively, in The Old Vic's UK premiere of Jon Robin Baitz's acclaimed play, Other Desert Cities, directed by Lindsay Posner. Further casting will be announced shortly.

Barry James, Josefina Gabrielle, Richard Dempsey and Kirsty Malpass will join the previously announced Alex Jennings (Willy Wonka) in the cast of the record-breaking West End production of Roald Dahl's Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.

Casting is announced for the World Premiere of Mike Bartlett's King Charles III directed by Almeida Theatre Artistic Director Rupert Goold. Public booking opens at 10am on Tuesday 25 February.

The Theatre Royal Bath has announced its 2014 Summer Season, comprising four productions and starring Clare Higgins, Tim Pigott-Smith, Alison Steadman and Felicity Kendal. Beginning on 18th June with Edward Albee's WHO'S AFRAID OF VIRGINIA WOOLF, the season continues with KAFKA'S DICK by Alan Bennett, followed by THERESE RAQUIN by Emile Zola, and concludes on 6th September with Noel Coward's HAY FEVER.

Opening the programme in the Park200 is Charles Court's production of the seldom performed Rogers/Sondheim musical Do I Hear A Waltz?. The seasons continues with Engine House's production of Bomber's Moon, written by celebrated screenwriter William Ivory (Made in Dagenham, Burton and Taylor), and is completed by the world premiere of The Man Who Shot Liberty Valance, a tale of revenge set in the Wild West, adapted by Jethro Compton from the short story by Dorothy M. Johnson.

Almeida Theatre Cast members past and present were out in force to celebrate Michael Attenborough's 11 years as Artistic Director of the Almeida Theatre. On Saturday 13 April, the Almeida Theatre hosted a party at Middle Temple Hall, the very place that saw the first performance of Twelfth Night, to give Michael an amazing send-off. Edward Albee's A Delicate Balance runs at the Almeida Theatre from 05 May - 02 July, with press night on 12 May 2011. Directed by James Macdonald, A Delicate Balance is designed by Laura Hopkins, with lighting by Guy Hoare, sound by Ian Dickinson and music by Gwilym Simcock.
