Broadway In Chicago presents the Chicago premiere of UNSPEAKABLE, a dramatic fantasia inspired by the life of comedic legend Richard Pryor. UNSPEAKABLE features a cast of many prominent Chicago performers and will play the Broadway Playhouse at Water Tower Place (175 E. Chestnut St.) for a limited five-week engagement tonight, Oct. 6 through Nov. 8, 2015.

WaterTower Theatre presents the world premiere of Donald Fowler's musical CREEP. The musical will open WaterTower Theatre's 2015-2016 Season on Monday, October 5, 2015 (with previews tonight, October 2, Saturday, October 3, and a Gala Preview performance on Sunday, October 4). Kate Galvin, Associate Producer at the 11th Hour Theatre Company in Philadelphia, will direct. CREEP is produced by Terry Martin.

Theatre Three has chosen the best production to kick off their 46th season, giving patrons an ideal opportunity to embrace the Halloween spirit; Sweeney Todd, The Demon Barber of Fleet Street. The winner of the seventh Papatango New Writing Prize, Tomcat by James Rushbrooke will receive a four week run at Southwark Playhouse from Wednesday 28 October (press night: Friday 30 October 8pm) to Saturday 21 Nov 2015. The director is 2014 JMK Award winner Kate Hewitt, who is currently Associate Director on Sam Mendes' Charlie and the Chocolate Factory in the West End.

Actors Stan Graner, Nathanael Clark, Kelsey Milbourn, Justin Duncan, Joshua Kumler, and Mitchell Stephens will star in the play running Friday, December 11 through Sunday, December 20 at the Berlene T. and Jarrell R. Milburn Theatre at Amphibian Stage Productions. This is Amphibian's inaugural holiday offering.

Today 8 September at 7pm, Pontine Theatre presents A TRAVELING TOY THEATRE FESTIVAL at it's West End Studio Theatre. Three countries meet on one small stage: Trudi Cohen and John Bell, members of the NYC-based collective Great Small Works, team up with Facto Teatro from Mexico City and Barbara Steinitz from Berlin to share a program of Toy Theater in venues across New England. Tickets are $18 and may be purchased in advance online at www.pontine.org. Tickets may also be purchased at the door a half-hour prior to the performance, based on availability. Pontine's West End Studio Theatre (WEST) is located at 959 Islington Street in Portsmouth NH.
