Producers Stephen C. Byrd and Alia Jones-Harvey recently that the critically acclaimed Broadway bound Eclipsed will today launch a campaign to bring 10,000 girls to see the show. Through the '10,000 Girls Campaign,' girls from the Tri-State area between ages 16 to 24, who would not otherwise have the opportunity to experience a Broadway show, will be given tickets to see Eclipsed. ECLIPSED Makes Broadway History During Black History Month with Cast, Creative Team

Eclipsed makes history during Black History Month. Holding the special distinction of being led by the only two African-American lead producers on Broadway, Stephen Byrd and Alia Jones-Harvey, Eclipsed will be the first show in Broadway history with an entirely female cast and creative team, and further: an entirely Black cast and creative team. Eclipsed begins previews later this month.

The critically acclaimed revival of Horton Foote's American masterpiece, THE TRIP TO BOUNTIFUL, will host a special free talkback following the performance on Wednesday evening, August 14th. Focusing on the creative process of THE TRIP TO BOUNTIFUL, this one-night only event will feature stars VANESSA WILLIAMS, CUBA GOODING JR, TOM WOPAT and ADEPERO ODUYE and will be moderated by writer and critic, CARYN JAMES. All ticket holders for the evening performance on August 14th are invited to stay for the talkback. THE TRIP TO BOUNTIFUL talkback series kicked off last week with a panel featuring Betty Buckley, Ellen Burstyn, and Hallie Foote as they discussed the appeal and challenges of appearing in a Horton Foote play.

ADEPERO ODUYE will assume the role of Thelma in the critically acclaimed revival of Horton Foote's American masterpiece, THE TRIP TO BOUNTIFUL, on Tuesday, July 16th. Oduye is best known for her acclaimed breakout role in Dee Ree's Sundance film, Pariah, and for her performance opposite Queen Latifah, Alfre Woodard and Phylicia Rashad in the Lifetime Television movie, Steel Magnolias. Condola Rashad, who also co-starred with Oduye in Steel Magnolias, played her final performance as Thelma on Sunday, July 14.

Mr. Botelho and Mr. Moeller will soon reach the London West End and Broadway with BLACK ORPHEUS, produced by American producer Stephen C. Byrd. HOW TO SUCCEED IN BUSINESS WITHOUT REALLY TRYING is the 32nd show in their winning careers. Mr. Botelho is also the Brazilian translator of shows like LES MISERABLES, PHANTOM OF THE OPERA, MISS SAIGON, MY FAIR LADY, THE KING AND I and ADDAMS FAMILY, to name a few.

The Dance Theatre of Harlem (DTH) held its Vision 2013 Gala honoring actress/singer Vanessa L. Williams on February 26th at the Mandarin Hotel in New York City. A Streetcar Named Desire stops at THEATER TALK for Tony Awards weekend, with stars Blair Underwood and Nicole Ari Parker, joined by producer Stephen C. Byrd, discussing the historic Broadway production with series co-hosts Michael Riedel of the New York Post and executive producer Susan Haskins. Also on board in a separate interview is comedian-character actor-writer Rob Bartlett, most recently seen in the revival of How To Succeed in Business Without Really Trying.
