San Diego Musical Theatre announces their first production of 2014 - CATS, (press opening on Saturday, March 22) at the North Park Theatre.

The Dix Hills Performing Arts Center held a sold out world premiere of Moey's Fairytale Adventure, a 60-minute, fun-filled, immersive children's musical. The new musical is the brainchild of children's performer Melissa Levis, also known as Moey, and authors Leah Lane and Stewart F. Lane, a Tony Award winner. The musical was produced by James Beneduce, Bonnie Comley and Alyssa Renzi, and directed by Broadway veteran Marie Danvers (Phantom of the Opera, The New Moon, A Moment in Time.) Five Towns College is honoring entertainment luminaries for their Contributions to the World of Entertainment by naming four schools, three centers, a theater and a new graduate library after them. The naming dedications are: John Lennon Music & Technology Center, Charles Strouse School of Music, Jule Styne School of Theatre, Maury Yeston School of Education, Stewart F. Lane School of Business, Frank Loesser College Theater, Ervin Drake Popular Music Center, Stanley Cohen College Library, Barbara Siman Dance Center, Richard Hayman Graduate Library and the Nederlander Worldwide Production Center. A world premiere screening of the Sondheim: The Birthday Concert was held at the NYIT Auditorium on November 1, 2010 and attended by cast, crew and friends. The star-studded event, Sondheim! The Birthday Concert, celebrating the 80th birthday of the Broadway and film legend Stephen Sondheim with performances of his music and songs by some of the world's biggest talents, will make its debut on PBS stations across the country on November 24th, thanks to the Emmy Award-winning producer Ellen M. Krass and multiple Tony Award-winning co-producers Stewart F. Lane and Bonnie Comley in association with Thirteen/WNET and Image Entertainment. The production, which is hosted by David Hyde Pierce, will air at 9PM ET (check local listings).

Utilizing songs from John Denver, one of America's most cherished songwriters and performers, A MOMENT IN TIME, is about a marine in Afghanistan who, moments before a battle, recalls a safer, happier place. The new musical, written by Stewart F. Lane, got its world premiere at Five Towns College, Dix Hills, New York, on June 25, 2010.

A historic night of musical theatre took place at The Dix Hills Center Performing Arts Center. The 1929 Rodgers & Hart musical Spring Is Here, was revived by Five Towns College Theatre Division students along with a handful of talented Broadway professionals.

Broadway's Boy George Euan Morton hosted the 2008 Theatre Museum Awards for Excellence on Tuesday October 21, 2009 at New York City's famed Players Club in Manhattan. Chairman of the Board of Trustees Stewart F. Lane and President Helen Marie Guditis opened the evening with a welcome to the honorees, presenters and guests at this fifth anniversary of The Theatre Museum.
