The Amazing Spider-Man 2, the highly anticipated next chapter in the story of Peter Parker, will be digitally re-mastered into the immersive IMAX 3D format and released in IMAX theatres.

Sony Pictures and the large network of companies within the Sony family will unite worldwide today, Thursday, December 5, 2013, in support of the studio's teaser trailer for its highly anticipated film, The Amazing Spider-Man 2.

Chris Pratt, who will play Peter Quill aka the Star-Lord in the upcomming Marvel film of GUARDIANS IN THE GALAXY talked to Fandango about playing the role in the upcoming film. He tells the site that 'I was signed up to do the movie before I was even allowed to read a script, so it wasn't like something about this particular character that got me to do it. The fact that it was a Marvel movie is what got me to do it.

She tells them that 'I never read these comics before, not Scarlet Witch. She's crazy. She has more things wrong with her than any character I've ever played. She can tell you where an object has been, she can tell you what your future is, she can connect with the dead and people from the past, the future, other universes, and she's the only person in this universe who's capable of doing that. She's unbelieveable; it's so cool. I grew up loving STAR WARS and LORD OF THE RINGS, and anything that has another type of world or universe aspect to it is so fun. '

The Producers Guild of America (PGA) announced today that acclaimed filmmaker Peter Jackson, visual effects artist Joe Letteri and Weta Digital will receive the Producers Guild's 2014 Vanguard Award.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, after taking in a strong $7.1 million midnight sales, THOR: THE DARK WORLD — Marvel's follow-up to its 2011 film starring Chris Hemsworth and Natalie Portman — opened to $31.6 million on Friday. This means the movie is setting its target at more than $80 million by Sunday, well beyond THOR's $65.7 million opening takings in 2011.

Eisner Award-winning artist Rob Guillory will create the eighth in a series of exclusive Wizard World variant covers of Robert Kirkman's The Walking Dead #1 comic, provided for free to all full-price attendees at Wizard World Austin Comic Con, November 22-24 at the Austin Convention Center. The film is narrated by Oscar winner Jeff Bridges and features appearances by Anjelica Huston, Stan Lee, Beau Bridges, Jon Voight, Leonard Maltin and many more. Disney Publishing Worldwide (DPW) today announced the acquisition of a new book based on the Chinese zodiac written by comic book legend Stan Lee with Stuart Moore, featuring illustrations by renowned comics artist Andie Tong.

Swedish startup, Plotagon, launched its Stan Lee Superhero Pack this weekend at Stan Lee's Comikaze Expo in Los Angeles. Plotagon is a free, beta application that anyone can use to make instant, 3D animated movies. The Superhero Pack (USD $9.99) is an add-on that includes four newly created superhero characters and Lee as a fifth animated character, who can be seen in a short movie demo on YouTube. All were developed in collaboration with Stan Lee's POW! Entertainment.

Space Command Studios is excited to announce their presence at this year's Comikaze founded by Stan Lee. The panel will be held on the third and last day of the expo, November 3rd 2013, at the LA Convention Center in room #303AB at 1pm.
