It was announced today by Barry O'Farrell, Premier of NSW, that Sydney has won the right to host the World Premiere season of the new musical AN OFFICER AND A GENTLEMAN in 2012.

The first gay Broadway proposal happened last night at Priscilla Queen of the desert. Yuri Rodriguez proposed to his partner Stephen Troiano in front of a packed house of almost 1700 audience members at the Palace Theatre.

According to the show's Facebook page, the continuation of Broadway's longest-running musical The Phantom of the Opera, Love Never Dies, which is currenty playing at Melbuorne's Regent Theatre, will be filmed and soon be available on DVD. The production will be filmed on September 15.

Day previously was at WME, where she represented the estate of Eugene O'Neill as well as playwrights Athol Fugard, Adam Bock, Jordan Harrison, Amy Herzog, Dan LeFranc and Nilaja Sun. She also repped lyricist Chad Beguelin, composer Gabe Kahane, and directors David Cromer, Trip Cullman, Gordon Edelstein, Anne Kauffman, Simon Phillips, Hal Brooks and Mark Rucker.
