Although The Smith Center for the Performing Arts will not open until 2011, it is already planting the seeds to develop an artistic and cultural heart in Las Vegas with its sponsorship of the first Las Vegas appearance by Ailey II, an exceptional group of young, talented individuals from the prestigious Alvin Ailey Organization.

Arena kicks off performances in this temporary location, known now as Arena Stage in Crystal City, with the swinging new musical Ella, conceived by Rob Ruggiero and Dyke Garrison with book by Jeffrey Hatcher.

Casting has been announced for the special holiday encore engagement of Jersey Boys, set to play San Francisco's Curran Theatre from November 20-December 30, 2007. The cast of Jersey Boys will be lead by Rick Faugno (Frankie Valli), San Franciscan Jeff Leibow (Nick Massi), Bryan McElroy (Tommy DeVito) and Andrew Rannells (Bob Gaudio) as The Four Seasons with Jonathan Hadley and Ken Krugman.

Following an extended, 44-week, record-breaking run at San Francisco's Curran Theatre, Jersey Boys, the story of Frankie Valli and The Four Seasons, will return to delight Bay Area audiences for a special holiday encore engagement from November 20-December 30, 2007.

San Francisco heralds in a highly-anticipated season of pre-Broadway premieres and special engagements, including 'Matthew Bourne's Swan Lake,' 'Slava's Snowshow,' and 'A Chorus Line.'

On Monday, November 29 at 7pm, the Tony Award-winning songwriting team Robert Lopez and Jeff Marx will be singing their hit songs from Avenue Q, along with some unknown 'trunk songs' at Birdland (315 West 44th Street). This will be the first time the duo performs a full concert in public.
