The Buck Creek Players will continue their 2009-2010 season 'On the Home Front' with the Playhouse Players Youth Production of Disney's Alice in Wonderland Junior, sponsored in part by The Franklin Township Chamber of Commerce. Opening Friday, July 30, and running for two weekends through Sunday, August 8, curtain times will be at 8:00 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays, with 2:30 p.m. matinees offered on Sundays. All performances will be held at the Buck Creek Playhouse on Indianapolis' southeast side at 11150 Southeastern Avenue. Tickets are $14 for adults and $12 for children, students, and senior citizens (ages 62 & older) and can be reserved by calling (317) 862-2270. Group discounts are available for parties of ten or more.

First time Vail Jazz Festival attendees can stay 3 nights at the Vail Marriott Mountain Resort, the host hotel for the Festival; 2 nights are absolutely free. First Timer Patron Pass holders will only pay for 1 night at the group rate of $109 (a bargain rate!) and the second and third nights are absolutely free. A parton pass provides attendees with preferred seating to over 25 hours of jazz, including dinner with all of the musicians.

Cornelia Street Cafe has announced their schedule of events for this weekend. Located between West 4th and Bleeker Streets, Cornelia Street Cafe was from the beginning an artists' café. Within a month there were poetry readings and music performances; and then a tiny play written for the café; and fiction writers; and Eskimo poetry; and puppeteers; and a living portrait of James Joyce; and the Four Quartets and the entire Iliad; and mime shows on the street outside the café; and comedians; and fairy tales and storytellers and Punch and Judy shows.

In May 1977 three artists--Robin Hirsch, a writer and director; Charles McKenna, an actor; and Raphaela Pivetta, a visual artist--stumbled across a tiny storefront on Cornelia Street in the heart of Greenwich Village and thought it the perfect place to open a café.
