Producers of the upcoming Moss Hart and George S. Kaufman's Pulitzer Prize-winning play You Can't Take It With You announce that Tony Award winner Elizabeth Ashley (Take Her, She's Mine, Cat on a Hot Tin Roof, Gore Vidal's The Best Man) joins the production in the role of The Grand Duchess Olga and Byron Jennings (The Merchant of Venice, Inherit the Wind) joins in the role of Mr. Kirby.

Today, the Roundabout Theatre Company released new artwork for the Broadway revival of ON THE TWENTIETH CENTURY, starring Kristin Chenoweth and Peter Gallagher.

Due to a scheduling conflict, the producers of THE ELEPHANT MAN have announced that the show will now begin performances on Friday, November 7, 2014, and open on Sunday, December 7, 2014 at the Booth Theatre (222 W 45th St). Tickets are currently on sale to the general public.

The National High School Musical Theater Awards (NHSMTA) previously announced that 56 high school students from across America will compete for the coveted Jimmy Award for Best Performance by an Actor and Best Performance by an Actress, at the 6th annual presentation at the Minskoff Theatre tonight, June 30. Kaufman's Pulitzer Prize-winning play You Can't Take It With You announce two-time Emmy and Golden Globe nominee Rose Byrne ('Damages,' Bridesmaids, Neighbors) and Tony Award nominee Annaleigh Ashford (Kinky Boots, Wicked, 'Masters of Sex'), join previously announced Tony Award and Outer Critics' Circle winner James Earl Jones (Gore Vidal's The Best Man, Fences, The Great White Hope) and Tony Award nominee Kristine Nielsen (Vanya and Sonia and Masha and Spike) in the show. Byrne, who is making her Broadway debut, will be playing Alice Sycamore and Ashford will play her sister, Essie Sycamore.

Over 400 guests including current and past New York City high school students, and the performing arts professional mentors who have participated in TDF's Open Doors, the theatre arts mentoring program that TDF founded in 1998 with playwright Wendy Wasserstein, will attend this year's graduation at 5:30pm on Monday, June 2 at The Gerald W. Lynch Theater at John Jay College (524 West 59th Street, NYC). In 2012, TDF's Open Doors was the first arts education program to receive a special Tony Honor for Excellence in the Theatre. This year, Open Doors had 27 mentors working with 24 groups of students from New York City high schools.

It is my great pleasure to announce that we will be producing the musical On the Twentieth Century, with book and lyrics by Betty Comden & Adolph Green, score by Cy Coleman, and directed by Scott Ellis. Kristin Chenoweth and Peter Gallagher will star in this production, opening in the spring of 2015 at the American Airlines Theatre.

Second Stage Theatre's 35th Anniversary Gala celebration will honor Carole Rothman, Artistic Director of Second Stage Theatre, for her 35 years of supporting new works and artistic development in New York City theatre. This year's rock n' roll themed gala will be attended by over 250 Second Stage Alumni who have worked at Second Stage Theatre during the past 35 years, from Brooke Adams and Polly Draper who appeared in the very first season, to cast members from the currently running The Substance of Fire and the upcoming American Hero which will make its New York premiere this summer at Second Stage Uptown. Special guests participating in the evening's festivities include Lynn Nottage, Cynthia Nixon, Tony Goldwyn, and more. Co-Chairs for this year's gala are Tony James, Tony Kiser, and George Loening.
