ABC Family gives fans of Woody, Mike and the rest of the Disney•Pixar gang a big dose of the warm fuzzies with its yearly "Countdown to 25 Days of Christmas" programming celebration, airing Sunday, November 22 - Monday, November 30. ABC Family is becoming Freeform in January 2016.

Bay Area crooner Russ Lorenson returns to Feinstein's at the Nikko with his 10th annual Christmas in San Francisco show on Friday, December 11 at 8 p.m. Backed by the 16-piece Kelly Park Big Band, Lorenson will present a swingin' evening of seasonal tunes sure to get you in the holiday spirit. There will almost be as much couture candy to see in the audience as there will be on the runway as Dallas fashionistas gather at FIRST SIGHT FASHION SHOW AND LUNCHEON, The Dallas Opera's fantastic 2015-2016 Season kick-off event! 'A Well-Strung Christmas' will have its world premiere at Cafe Istanbul on November 27, 28, and 29. The new show has been devised by Well-Strung, Mark Cortale and director Richard Jay-Alexander, and features the group's own unique pop-classical spin on some of the most beautiful and traditional holiday favorites. Julie Branam has the distinction of being the first Rockette ever to have directed and choreographed the Radio City Christmas Spectacular in New York City. For the past 28 years, Julie has had a successful career performing as a Rockette as well as holding other various positions at the Music Hall.

CAIN + ABEL, the Wilbury Theatre's new production by Resident Playwright Ben Jolivet re-examines the familiar bible story of the two brothers, the role of god, legacy and relationships in a play that blends levity, philosophy and tragedy.  The concept of the play is interesting and the story, which everyone already knows the ending of, is well punctuated with subtle jokes and moments of levity.  Unfortunately, the execution leaves the play both underwhelming and over the top.

Costumes carefully selected from Angels' illustrious back catalogue are now on display at The Old Truman Brewery as part of the DRESSED BY ANGELS, 175 YEARS OF COSTUMES exhibition, running now through 3 January 2016. 

HOMELESS AND HOW WE GOT THAT WAY -- a new play by Dan McCormick -- will be given its world-premiere this fall when Roust Theatre Company produces the play at the Access Theatre (380 Broadway, one block below Canal St.), with previews starting tonight, October 22 prior to a press opening October 25.  James Phillip Gates directs.
