Following a successful Spring/Summer tour, London Classic Theatre's Artistic Director Michael Cabot today announces a 14-week extension of Alan Ayckbourn's Absent Friends, as part of the company's 15th Anniversary Season. In its most ambitious programme to date, the company will open a second leg of Absent Friends on 19 August 2015, followed by a 12-week UK & Ireland tour of Samuel Beckett's Waiting for Godot from 9 September 2015.

Fullcasting has been announced for Laugh It Up, Stare It Down, a new play written by Alan Hruska (The Man on Her Mind, New House under Construction, Reunion) and directed by Chris Eigeman (known as a filmmaker for Turn The River and as an actor for roles in television's Gilmore Girls and the films Metropolitan, Barcelona, and The Last Days of Disco). Laugh It Up, Stare It Down will premiere at The Cherry Lane Theatre (38 Commerce Street) beginning a limited engagement on August 26th with opening night set for September 9th.

The interactive digital artwork for one person at a time RioFoneHack has been extended for four weeks. The installation of Brazil's iconic public phone boxes, which audiences can pick up to hear to hear one of three fictional Brazilian artists, who interact with them via keypad and other sensors including pulse, motion and voice, first opened on the 10th June with the original closing date of 12th July.

Following a successful tour of Alan Ayckbourn's Absent Friends, today London Classic Theatre announces the cast for its production of Waiting for Godot, as part of the company's 15th anniversary season. London Classic Theatre Artistic Director Michael Cabot directs Jonathan Ashley (Pozzo), Peter Cadden (Vladimir), Richard Heap (Estragon), Michael Keane (Lucky) and Sonja Zobel (A Boy). The production tours to 37 venues around the UK this autumn, starting at Theatre Severn, Shrewsbury on 9 September.

Spanning numerous musical traditions, genres, and disciplines, the Festival will offer 26 performances and events, featuring one world and five U.S. premieres and debuts by artists and companies from the United States, the U.K., Croatia, Belgium, France, and Ireland. Other Festival components include pre- and post-performance artist discussions, a panel discussion, film, and the popular post-performance White Light Lounges, where performers and audience members can gather.
