Rubicon Theatre presents the World Premiere of ESTELLA SCROOGE: A CHRISTMAS CAROL WITH A TWIST, a modern day take on Charles Dickens’ beloved 1843 novella A Christmas Carol. Stellar cast of twenty-four includes: Betsy Wolfe as Estella Scrooge, Clifton Duncan as Phillip 'Pip' Nickleby, Lauren Patten as Dawkins, Patrick Page as Mr. Merdle, Carolee Carmello as Marla Havisham, Danny Burstein as Ebenezer Scrooge.

La Mirada Theatre for the Performing Arts and McCoy Rigby Entertainment present the fifth and final production in its 2013-1014 season of shows with the Los Angeles regional theatre premiere of one of the most beloved musicals of all time, based on the novel by Victor Hugo, the Tony award-winning, LES MISERABLES, music by Claude-Michel Schonberg, book by Alain Boublil and Claude-Michel Schonberg, lyrics by Herbert Kretzmer, with musical direction by John Glaudini, choreography by Dana Solimando and directed by Brian Kite.

Rubicon's November/ December HOLIDAY CENTRAL calendar offers a sparkling array of more than 35 shows and events for all ages. The festivities begin with the return of a holiday revue with six Broadway singers and a local children's chorus; followed by a late-night adult comedy presented in a cabaret setting; a poetic reading of wartime love letters; and culminating with an enchanting new musical from the Tony and Olivier Award-winning director of Les Miserables and Nicholas Nickleby and the creators of Jane Eyre and Daddy Long Legs, who will have a five-week residency at Rubicon during the holidays.

On November 29th, The Angel Heart Foundation and Marion Witte are sponsoring an afternoon of activities at Rubicon Theatre for families who have not previously been exposed to a live-theatre production. Tony and Olivier Award-winner John Caird (Les Misérables and Nicholas Nickleby), West End rising star Sam Caird, and Tony nominee Paul Gordon (Jane Eyre) recently arrived in Ventura to begin rehearsals for a new holiday musical entitled LITTLE MISS SCROOGE, which will be presented as a limited-run staged concert for Rubicon Theatre subscribers, December 12 through 23, 2012. (The fully staged World Premiere will be produced by Rubicon in December of 2013.) BroadwayWorld has a first look at the cast onstage in the photos below!
