The Town Hall has just announced the 12th Season of their acclaimed BROADWAY BY THE YEAR® concert series which kicks off with THE BROADWAY MUSICALS OF 1946 on Monday, February 13, 2012. The show is created, written and hosted by Scott Siegel for The Town Hall. Initial casting includes Alice Ripley, the Tony® Award winning star of Next to Normal, Tom Wopat (Tony® Award nominated for his role of Frank Butler in Annie Get Your Gun revival/Catch Me if You Can), Kerry O'Malley (On a Clear Day…Annie Get Your Gun revival) and Noah Racey (Curtains), who will also choreograph. The evening will feature songs and dance from Irving Berlin's classic Annie Get Your Gun and other musicals including Call Me Mister, St. Louis Woman and Park Avenue. Ross Patterson is the musical director.

Tony Award-nominee Robert Cuccioli (Jekyll & Hyde, Les Miserables) will headline the Saturday, January 28th at 7pm performance of JACQUES BREL RETURNS...The Music of Brel, Blau, Shuman and Jouannest at The Triad. Joining Cuccioli will be Tamra Hayden (Les Miserables on Broadway), Arlo Hill (Where's Charley? at Encores! directed by John Doyle), Rick Hip-Flores (who has performed in the pits of Billy Elliot, The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee, and The Radio City Christmas Spectacular) and Ereni Sevasti (The Bacchae at The Public, Carnival at The Kennedy Center).

Joining Cuccioli on December 18th will be Jim Stanek (Lestat, Little Women, …Forum), Arlo Hill (Where's Charley? At Encores! directed by John Doyle), Rick Hip-Flores (who has performed in the pits of Billy Elliot, The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee, and The Radio City Christmas Spectacular) and Ereni Sevasti (The Bacchae at The Public, Carnival at The Kennedy Center), and joining him on December 30th will be Rick Hip-Flores, Ereni Sevasti and PJ Baccari. Rick Hip-Flores will also serve as musical director for both performances.

On Sunday, December 10 at 5PM, Urban Stages (Frances Hill, Founding Artistic Director), assisted by director/lyricist Peter Napolitano have announced that they will close their celebrated cabaret series WINTER RHYTHMS with the New York Premiere of Steve Ross's Irvin Berlin Show. Jacques Brel is dead and buried and entombed in French Polynesia and the Zipper Theatre, home of the very satisfying revival of Jacques Brel is Alive and Living in Paris several seasons back is now a beloved memory, but the producers of that mounting have been keeping the 'ol carousel madly turning for nearly a year now with regular presentations of Jacques Brel Returns, up at The Triad.
