21c Liederabend, op. 3, Beth Morrison Projects (BMP) and VisionIntoArt (VIA)'s festival of contemporary art song, brings two distinct programs to BAM as part of the 31st Next Wave Festival tonight and Saturday, November 22 and 23, at 7:30 PM? at BAM Harvey Theater (651 Fulton St, Brooklyn, NY).

Segerstrom Center's Off Center Festival returns for its third consecutive year January 23 - February 2. This year's festival will showcase an entirely new lineup of wonderfully creative and innovative contemporary performance companies and artists.

The Junket, a new, hilariously scandalous solo show based on scandalous actual events, written and performed by Mike Albo, adds a three show extension to its run at Dixon Place, originally scheduled to close on Saturday, November 16th. The Junket will now play on November 24th, December 1st, and December 8th at 6:00 p.m. at Dixon Place (161A Chrystie Street, NYC).

Dixon Place presents The Junket, written and performed by Mike Albo. One Gift Bag Can Change Your Life...Forever! The show will run November 1 & 2 at 7:30pm and November 8-9 & 15-16 at 10pm.

Thomas Kilroy's version of The Seagull is a reappraisal of Chekhov's first great comedy, a story of a distinguished actress and her passionate lonely son. Trudie Styler will play that actress under the direction of Max Stafford Clark.

Long Beach Opera (LBO) closes its 2013 season with Macbeth, Swiss-American composer Ernest Bloch's re-discovered powerhouse, sung in English. Performances at the World Cruise Center in San Pedro, CA. begin tonight, June 15, 2013 and continue on June 22 and 23.

Culture Project will rename their mainstage theatre, currently known as 45 Bleecker Street, the Lynn Redgrave Theatre this June. The announcement was made onstage by Mr. Buchman during the opening night curtain call for Culture Project's current production of Shaheed: The Dream and Death of Benazir Bhutto. A naming ceremony and commemorative gala in honor of the late Ms. Redgrave will take place today, June 3, 2013 at Stage 48 (605 West 48th Street, New York City). Honorary Chairs for the evening are Vanessa Redgrave, Liam Neeson, and Ms. Redgrave's three children Annabel Clark, Ben Clark, and Pema Clark.

Roulette presents 'Five Beasts' a collaboration between Grammy Award winning performance artist Rinde Eckert and highly acclaimed musician Ned Rothenberg. 'Five Beasts' is a set of human portraits of men and women seen as if by an animal, the language a kind of music or noise, the gestures unaccountable. We are, most of us, lost in a forest of our own design, a welter of unconscious narratives, the pull of our complicated past, an obsessive constructor of futures, howling our troubled allegory of self: this is ourmasquerade-cum-delusion. But the animal informs and teaches us - if we listen. We are absurd and amazed, and sometimes beautiful, in our utter ignorance.

Today, Berkeley Repertory Theatre revealed the seventh show selected for its upcoming season. The Tony Award-winning nonprofit will begin its 46th year of smart and adventurous shows with Vanya and Sonia and Masha and Spike, the hilarious Broadway hit from three-time Obie Award-winner Christopher Durang. Respected director Richard E.T. White returns to the Bay Area to stage this hugely popular show in September.
