Rhett Rossi's sharp-edged solo play "This Is the How," a coming of age story set in the dark corners of Long Island during the heavy metal '80s of Rossi's youth, begins an exclusive four-week engagement on Monday October 5 at The Playroom Theater, 151 West 46th Street. Directed and co-developed by Kevin Kittle, the Off-Broadway premiere of "This Is the How" opens on Monday October 12 at 7pm and plays through Saturday October 31. On Sunday, April 26th and Monday, April 27th, local award-winning composer Elaine Pechacek and The Squeaky Wheel Theatre Project will present a 60-minute showcase of Pechacek's new musical 'The Lady Juliana,' before the show makes its official world premiere as part of the York New Musical Festival in York, England this May.

Principal photography is set to begin on Legendary Pictures' KRAMPUS, a horror-comedy feature film that reveals an irreverently twisted side to the Christmas holiday. This darkly festive tale of a yuletide ghoul is co-written and directed by Michael Dougherty and stars a stellar ensemble cast, who are supported by the Oscar-winning creature-effects wizardry of Weta Workshop and the Oscar-winning visual effects of Weta Digital. KRAMPUS will be released on December 4, 2015, by Universal Pictures.

Orange County, Calif.-Jan. 9, 2015-Composer, conductor and teacher Leonard Bernstein, one of the undeniable giants of 20th-century music, and the first American-born conductor to become a major star, becomes the focal point of Pacific Symphony's second "Music Unwound" concert this season, "For the Love of Bernstein." In 1985, a young Carl St.Clair met Bernstein as a conducting fellow at Tanglewood Music Center. A few years later in 1990, St.Clair stepped in for the ailing Maestro and conducted his "Arias and Barcarolles" during what turned out to be Bernstein's last concert. St.Clair would soon be named music director of Pacific Symphony, but the impact of Bernstein's mentoring to St.Clair has remained to this day.

The Flea Theater presents Pod 2 of their terrifying 4 part theatrical event - THE CUTTHROAT SERIES: GRAND GUIGNOL DUELS beginning October 14. These turn of the century French plays alternate between ghastly horrors and carnal comedies to create a gripping, deplorable evening of theater. To add to that thrill, audience members will vote on their favorite play from each of the four pods (titled GORE, CRUELTY, NIGHT TERROR, and LUST) and the winners will return for an extended run in January.
