Good morning, BroadwayWorld! Today's big news: CAN YOU FORGIVE HER?, starring Amber Tamblyn, opens tonight at the Vineyard, and the new, Broadway-bound ROMAN HOLIDAY musical begins in San Francisco!

Hamilton was in da house! Just last week, Hamilton stars Javier Munoz,  Brandon Victor Dixon, James Monroe Iglehart, Mandy Gonzalez, and Bryan Terrell Clark joined SAG-AFTRA Foundation and BroadwayWorld for a filmed Conversations Q&A series to recognize and celebrate the vibrant theatre community in New York City and the actors who aspire to have a career on the stage and screen.   

On Monday, May 22 (6PM) SAG-AFTRA Foundation and BroadwayWorld will host a special screening of Hairspray Live! followed by a Q&A with Kristin Chenoweth and Executive Producer Neil Meron. Moderated by BroadwayWorld's Richard Ridge, the event will take place at the Robin Williams Center (247 W 54th St).

Denis Jones has taken his career from chorus boy to choreographer, and now Tony nominee! He just picked up his first nomination for his work on Roundabout Theatre Company's Holiday Inn, a joyous throwback to musicals of the MGM-era. Below, watch as he chats with Richard Ridge about how he drew inspiration from the past and made innovative and exciting dances for today.

On Monday, May 22 (2:30PM) SAG-AFTRA Foundation and BroadwayWorld will host Career Conversations with Andrew Rannells, Tony nominee for his performance in Falsettos. Moderated by BroadwayWorld's Richard Ridge, the event will take place at the Robin Williams Center (247 W 54th St).

SAG-AFTRA Foundation and BroadwayWorld partnered for a filmed Conversations Q&A series to recognize and celebrate the vibrant theatre community in New York City and the actors who aspire to have a career on the stage and screen.

On Monday, May 15 (7PM) SAG-AFTRA Foundation and BroadwayWorld will host Career Conversations with Andy Karl, currently starring in Groundhog Day on Broadway, moderated by BroadwayWorld's Richard Ridge. The event will take place at  the Robin Williams Center (247 W 54th St). 

Cafe Carlyle will welcome back Broadway legend Chita Rivera, May 9-20. Last year's sold out Cafe Carlyle debut received raves reviews. An accomplished and versatile actress/singer/dancer, Chita Rivera has won two Tony Awards as Best Leading Actress in a Musical and has received eight additional Tony nominations for an exceptional 10 Tony nominations. At the Carlyle, Chita will be accompanied by her music director Michael Croiter and trio. Below, watch as she chats with Richard Ridge about the upcoming appearance!

The brand new musical Bandstand, directed and choreographed by Tony Award winner Andy Blankenbuehler(Hamilton) with music by Richard Oberacker and a book and lyrics byRobert Taylor and Richard Oberacker, opens tonight at The Bernard B. The new Broadway musical Roald Dahl's Charlie and the Chocolate Factory is currently in performances at Broadway's Lunt-Fontanne Theatre (205 West 46th Street) and officially opened last night, April 23, 2017. Manhattan Theatre Club's new Broadway production of Lillian Hellman's The Little Foxes, starring Laura Linney and Cynthia Nixon, opens tonight at MTC's Samuel J. Friedman Theatre (261 West 47th Street). 

Groundhog Day, the Olivier Award-winning new musical featuring music and lyrics by Tim Minchinand a book by Danny Rubin, and directed by Matthew Warchus, opens tonight, Monday April 17, on Broadway at the August Wilson Theatre (245 West 52nd Street). Performances began on March 16.

Lincoln Center Theater's smash hit production of J.T. Rogers' new play Oslo, directed by Bartlett Sher, re-opens this week at the Vivian Beaumont Theater (150 West 65 Street), after a sold-out run last summer off-Broadway at the Mitzi E. Newhouse Theater. Richard Ridge was on hand at opening night to speak with the stars of the show about the play, their move to the Vivian Beaumont Theatre, and what it's like to work with Barlett Sher. Good morning, BroadwayWorld! Today's big news: A memorial tribute celebration for James M. Nederlander is set for the Minskoff Theatre this afternoon.

Regardless of how you know her, you probably love her for it. Since her broadway debut in 1991, Lea Salonga has been melting the hearts of audiences all over the world with her star turns in such shows as MISS SAIGON, LES MISERABLES, ALLEGIANCE, and even her voice work in Disney classics like MULAN  and ALADDIN.

Tickets went on sale this morning, April 4th, for the 62nd Annual Drama Desk Awards, and can be purchased at www.DramaDeskAwards.com. This year's awards, hosted by Michael Urie, will be held at The Town Hall (123 W. 43rd Street) on Sunday, June 4th.

The new Broadway musical, Amelie opened tonight at the Walter Kerr Theatre. Tony nominee Phillipa Soo returns to Broadway in the new musical based on the beloved five-time Oscar-nominated film. Richard Ridge was there on the red carpet taking in all the action and chatting up the stars. See all the red carpet fun below!

Jennifer Diamond made her Joe's Pub solo debut on March 27th to a packed house. After selling out at FEINSTEIN'S/54 BELOW, with her debut act, IT MY FIRST TIME: PLEASE BE GENTLE, she's brought it to the LES's music hot-spot with IT'S MY FIRST TIME: DOWNTOWN EDITION. Both were directed by longtime pal Richard Jay-Alexander.

COME FROM AWAY opened last night on Broadway, officially sharing the tale of a remarkable little town in Newfoundland with theatre goers.
