Stiles & Drewe's SOHO CINDERS Concert Performance Set for Oct. 9

On Sunday 9 October 2011, for one night only, there will be a special one-off concert performance of Stiles and Drewe's new musical SOHO CINDERS at the Novello Theatre, in aid of Teenage Cancer Trust. The concert will feature an all-star cast, including Kerry Ellis, Hannah Waddingham, Beverly Rudd, David Bedella, and Sandi Toksvig

Everybody's been talking about the animatronic pig which cost a reported £100,000 for Cameron Mackintosh's new musical comedy BETTY BLUE EYES, based on the Handmade Film 'A PRIVATE FUNCTION' by Alan Bennett and Malcolm Mowbray. BETTY BLUE EYES is the first original musical Cameron Mackintosh has produced in ten years. It started previews at the Novello Theatre in the West End on 19 March and opened on 13 April. BETTY BLUE EYES to Play the Novello this Spring

According to a report by Whatsonstage.com, the upcoming West End production of Betty Blue Eyes will open at the Novello Theatre for Spring 2011. The show, which is to be produced by Cameron Mackintosh will feature Sarah Lancashire and Reece Shearsmith, with direction by Richard Eyre. Additional details concerning casting and production dates have not yet been announced.

Mel Brooks's The Producers closes at the Theatre Royal Drury Lane after playing its final performance on 6th January, after its run of more than two years. Performances at the London venue began back in October 2004, with the production winning the 2005 Laurence Olivier awards for Best New Musical and Best Actor in a Musical (Nathan Lane) along with nominations for Best Actress in a Musical (Leigh Zimmerman), Best Actor in a Musical (Lee Evans), Best Performance in a Supporting Role in a Musical (Conleth Hill), Best Director (Susan Stroman) and Best Theatre Choreographer (Susan Stroman).

The King Of Broadway Surrenders His West End Crown

The smash Broadway phenomenon 'The Producers' will play its last performance at the Theatre Royal, Drury Lane on January 6, ending a run that began on November 9, 2004. Its UK life will not end, however, as it opens in Manchester on February 18 for a 3 month run.
