(BMI), the U.S. performing right organization that represents over 375,000 songwriters, composers and music publishers, is proud to announce the performers on its 2009 Lollapalooza stage. Beginning August 7-9 at Grant Park's Hutchinson Field in Chicago, IL, BMI's stage will kick off performances at 11:15 a.m. each day, setting the pace at the mammoth music festival.

Today Tuesday, June 9th, 19 Recordings, the music division of 19 Entertainment which produces AMERICAN IDOL has announced in a news release that it had signed Adam Lambert, to a recording contract and that he would release his debut album on RCA Records in the fall.

The ceremony will be held at the 2009 CLO Guild's Pink Frolic Ball on May 9, 2009, at the Omni William Penn Hotel. Established in 1988, the Richard Rodgers Award for Excellence in Musical Theater recognizes the lifetime contributions of outstanding talents in musical theater. Pittsburgh CLO has presented the Richard Rodgers Award 11 times in recent years to such luminaries as Mary Martin (1988), Dame Julie Andrews (1989), Harold Prince (1991), Sir Cameron Mackintosh (1992), Stephen Sondheim (1993), Lord Andrew Lloyd Webber (1996), Gwen Verdon (2000), Bernadette Peters (2002), Shirley Jones (2007), Kathleen Marshall (2008) and Rob Marshall (2008).
