The Old Globe today announced that Sean Lyons will play the role of Niccolò Machiavelli in the West Coast Premiere of Divine Rivalry.

Playwright Matthew Freeman and director Kyle Ancowitz (The Theater Accident) return to The Brick with CONFESS YOUR BUBBLE. Their previous appearances include the much-ballyhooed productions of Glee Club and An Interview with the Author and That Old Soft Shoe.

Lincoln Center Theater has announced that Genevieve Angelson, Shalita Grant, Billy Magnussen, Kristine Nielsen, David Hyde Pierce and Sigourney Weaver will be featured in the New York premiere of VANYA AND SONIA AND MASHA AND SPIKE, a new play by Christopher Durang, to be directed by Nicholas Martin, beginning performances Thursday, October 25 and opening Monday, November 12 at the Mitzi E. The Amoralists are currently presenting the World Premiere of The Bad and the Better, written by Derek Ahonen, directed by Obie Award winner Daniel Aukin and featuring The Amoralists acting ensemble. Theatre Masters' president Julia Hansen announced today (Monday, June 25th) aspiring playwrights Carolyn Kras and Michael Mitnick as the sixth annual Theater Masters' Visionary Award winners.

Original Broadway cast member Jared Gertner will star as Elder Cunningham in the First National Tour of THE BOOK OF MORMON, launching in Denver from August 14-September 2 at The Ellie Caulkins Opera House.
