Actors Peter Friedman, Bobby Moreno and Kelly McAndrew will participate in staged readings of Grand Concourse by Heidi Schreck (There are No Big Secrets, Creature) at the Cape Cod Theatre Project. Readings are tonight, July 18th, 19th, and 20th at 8 p.m. at Falmouth Academy.

Sutton Foster, Joshua Henry, Van Hughes, Keala Settle, Christopher Sieber, Emerson Steele and Chris Sullivan have been cast in Jeanine Tesori and Brian Crawley's Violet, the second Encores! Off-Center presentation of the 2013 season, on July 17. Tickets for Violet, directed by Leigh Silverman, with music direction by Michael Rafter, sold out shortly after going on sale. Tickets for the rest of the Encores! Off-Center season are still available; the majority of tickets are $25.

Prospect Theater Company will present the world premiere production of TAMAR OF THE RIVER, a new music theater work with music and book by Marisa Michelson and book and lyrics by Joshua H. Cohen. Directed by Daniel Goldstein (Godspell) and choreographed by Yin Mei, TAMAR OF THE RIVER will be the first production available through Prospect's new Membership Program.

Westport Country Playhouse's Joe Orton's LOOT Begins Tonight

Westport Country Playhouse will stage the British farce, 'Loot,' a wickedly funny send-up of larcenous, lascivious behavior among the English middle classes, written by Joe Orton and directed by David Kennedy, Playhouse associate artistic director, playing from tonight, July 16 through August 3. The play won the coveted Evening Standard Award for Best Play in 1967.
