Logo's fourth annual 'NewNowNext Awards' returned to Los Angeles last night in a live spectacle brimming with recent-breakthrough celebrities, pop culture phenomena and tomorrow's next big things, keeping Logo at the forefront of what's trending with today's 'in' crowd. Hosted by James Van Der Beek, the show honored Lady Gaga with the esteemed 'Always Next, Forever Now Award' and featured musical performances by Robyn, Panic! at the Disco, Oh Land and Wynter Gordon. UNDER CONSIDERATION is a 90-minute event featuring new one-act plays by members of The Public Theater's Emerging Writers Group including 2008 playwrights Chris Cragin and Pia Wilson, 2009 playwright Bridget Kelso, and 2011 playwrights Sevan Greene, Sukari Jones, Aaron Levy, Anna Moench, Jerome Parker, and Stella Fawn Ragsdale.

Veteran humorist and playwright, Justin Moran, launched 'Spiderman Smackdown', a guerilla theatre project to write, rehearse, and perform a fully realized musical based on the character Spiderman in under 30 days with a budget of $0. The cast has been quoted on BroadwayWorld.com as scrambling to reverse travel and hotel plans for friends and family, and as disappointed in missing what would have been a 'celebration of making it that far.' Therefore, the Spidermusical. team welcomes any and all Spider-Man cast and crew to party with them in spider-themed musical brotherhood, the ?rst drink on the house. Cabaret will run until March 27, 2011. This production is based on the 1998 Broadway revival choreographed and co-directed by Rob Marshall and directed by Sam Mendes.
