On Monday, May 16, the FOX 2011 Upfront event was held at the Wollman Rink in Central Park in New York City. Paula Abdul and Simon Cowell will be reunited as judges on 'The X Factor,' according to The Hollywood Reporter. Abdul has finally finished the deal which will have her join previously announced judges Cheryl Cole and Antonio 'L.A.' Reid on the show. 'The X-Factor' will begin taping the judges rounds today in Los Angeles and the show will debut on Fox in September.

Don't Tell Mama was host last Sunday to the premiere of Mixtape Confessions: Diary of a Teenage Optimist. A new autobiographical show starring Nicole Johndrow, Mixtape Confessions features surprising new arrangements of classic pop hits from 1988 to 1991, structured around Johndrow's audiotape diary from her junior high school days. At the piano was musical director and arranger Warren Freeman, who dueted with Johndrow on several showstoppers, including songs made famous by Whitney Houston, Gloria Estefan, Paula Abdul and Janet Jackson. Stand up comedienne and actress Wanda Sykes has signed on to guest star for the third season of the hit LIFETIME dramedy series DROP DEAD DIVA, starring Brooke Elliott, in the fifth episode that was ripped straight from the headlines. Sykes will play the character of Judge Yvonne Wright, an eccentric judge who isn't amused and refuses to be swayed by Jane Bingum's (Elliott) courtroom theatrics.
