On Friday 7th February, Beckman Unicorn's critically acclaimed West End production of Great Expectations The Play will be released on DVD exactly one year after it was filmed and screened in cinemas across the UK

Great Expectations closes at the Vaudeville Theatre today, 30 March 2013, two months earlier than its original run date.

The Brits have a long history of adapting their own great literature into spectacular plays and musicals. This season the talk of London is Great Expectations, a spectacular staging of Dicken's classic.

Great Expectations will now run at the Vaudeville Theatre until 30 March 2013, closing two months earlier than its original run date.

A new stage adaptation of Charles Dickens's Great Expectations opened at the West End's Vaudeville Theatre on 6 February 2013. Reprising their roles from the play's recent, successful UK tour, Jack Ellis stars as Jaggers, Chris Ellison as Magwitch and Paula Wilcox as Miss Havisham. The cast of 14 also includes Paul Nivison as Adult Pip, Grace Rowe as Estella and Taylor Jay-Davies as Young Pip.

To celebrate the launch of The Dickens Legacy at the Gala Evening at London's Vaudeville Theatre, GREAT EXPECTATIONS will be screened live via satellite to more than 150 cinemas across the UK and Ireland, with a global cinema release including mainland Europe, Canada, USA, Asia and Australia.

Although it is Dickens' most popular novel and having previously had many incarnations, including as a film, a television drama and even a stage musical, this will be the first time there has ever been a production of GREAT EXPECTATIONS as a full-scale stage play in either the West End or on Broadway. The West End premiere of GREAT EXPECTATIONS will star Jack Ellis as Jaggers, Chris Ellison as Magwitch and Paula Wilcox as Miss Havisham. Beckman Unicorn, the producers of the new stage adaptation of Great Expectations, which has just announced a UK Tour prior to London's West End, have created the first ever Toy Theatre version of the classic novel as part of the international celebrations of the Charles Dickens bicentenary, and a life-size version of it will be on display at West End Live in Trafalgar Square this weekend, 23-24 June.
