Sundance Institute announced today the films selected to screen in the out-of-competition Premieres and Documentary Premieres sections of the 2013 Sundance Film Festival, January 17-27 in Park City, Salt Lake City, Ogden and Sundance, Utah.

The Playwrights Horizons' production of The Whale, the New York premiere of a new play by Obie Award winner Samuel D. Bradley Cooper, best known for his appearances in Hollywood hits including 'The Hangover' series and 'Limitless,' may return to Broadway. The actor - who made his Broadway debut in 2006's THREE DAYS OF RAIN - starred as John Merrick in THE ELEPHANT MAN at Williamstown Theatre Festival this summer, and tells Entertainment Weekly this week that he still plans to reprise the role on the Great White Way.

The 16th Annual Hollywood Film Awards, presented by the Los Angeles Times, is pleased to announce that actor Bradley Cooper will be given the 'Hollywood Actor Award,' at this year's awards gala.

Patricia Clarkson and Zachary Booth have both reportedly signed on for the dark indie comedic film, LAST WEEKEND. The film is set to begin shooting this week. It will serve as Tom Dolby and Tom Williams' feature directorial debut.

This marks the first time that "Tales from the Crypt" can be seen on network TV since 2004, when it was previously syndicated.

The stars were out this week at 54 Below. With a distinctly personal voice in independent cinema, filmmaker Ira Sachs explores the universal themes of love and desire, beginning with his touching debut The Delta to his forthcoming feature Keep the Lights On. From August 25 through September 4, 2012, Museum of the Moving Image will present Looking for Love: The Films of Ira Sachs, the first comprehensive New York retrospective of Sachs's work that includes all of his feature films and a selection of short films, each followed by a Pinewood Dialogue with Sachs in person. The series culminates on Tuesday, September 4, with a preview screening of his latest feature Keep the Lights On.
