Stage Alliance Ovation Award for its critically-acclaimed production of Kiss of the Spider Woman (Best Musical - Intimate Theatre), Havok Theatre Company is thrilled to announce its first production of 2010, the Broadway musical THE STORY OF MY LIFE with music and lyrics by Neil Bartram, book by Brian Hill, musical direction by Michael Paternostro and directed by Havok's Artistic Director and Ovation Award-winner Nick DeGruccio.

Goodspeed Musicals, under the leadership of Michael P. Price, is thrilled to announce the 2010 musical season at the Goodspeed Opera House in East Haddam, Conn. The 47th season includes three fantastic musicals that are sure to delight theatregoers: the fun and frolicking Irving Berlin's Annie Get Your Gun will run from April 16 - June 27; the second production, Carnival! featuring such memorable classics as "Love Makes the World Go 'Round," will run from July 9 - September 18; and the Tony Award-winning How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying will run from September 24 - November 28.

The Fifth Annual Goodspeed Festival of New Artists, produced by Goodspeed Musicals' Max Showalter Center for Education in the Musical Theater, kicks off its much anticipated three day festival of brand new works on Friday, January 15, at the Goodspeed Opera House with a staged reading of Hello Out There. On Saturday, January 16, the triple feature musical ReWrite debuts.  On the final day of the festival, Lincoln in Love will be presented. Several special events will round out this exciting weekend.

Goodspeed Musical Productions Holds Auditions for 2010 Season; Auditions Take Place 1/30, 1/31

Goodspeed Musicals is holding local Equity auditions for its 2010 season, on Saturday, January 30 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Sunday, January 31, from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. in East Haddam, Conn. Goodspeed is seeking adult male and female actors for all productions. In addition, girls ages 10-14 and boys ages 8-10 are needed for Annie Get Your Gun. Non-union performers will be seen as appointments permit.

Casting has been announced for York Theatre Company's upcoming performance of the musical revue, THAT TIME OF THE YEAR. The cast will include Broadway stars Ann Harada and Josh Grisetti, as well as Bridget Beirne, Kerri Jill Garbis, and Thom Christopher Warren. The show will hold a limited Off-Broadway engagement, holding 5 performances from December 18th to December 20th.

Casting has been announced for the upcoming Ohio premiere of Jason Robert Brown's latest musical, 13. The production will take place at the Fairmount Center for the Arts beginning February 18th and run through February 28th. The production is directed by Sean Szaller with musical directed by Mike Caraffi and choreography by Bebe Weinberg Katz.

According to the Sh-K-Boom website, The Original Broadway Cast Recording of Jason Robert Brown's 13 (originally released in Fall 2008) has now been updated to include enhancements made to the show by Brown with book writers Robert Horn and Dan Elish after its Broadway premiere for upcoming regional and school productions around the world. The new CD will be available in stores from Sh-K-Boom/Ghostlight Records on November 24.

Goodspeed Musicals Announces Major Expansion; New Actor Housing

Goodspeed Musicals, the nation's only two-time Tony Award winning theatre, announced today that it will build 17 new homes to be used for New Actor Housing on the Goodspeed Campus in East Haddam, Conn. The New Actor Housing initiative represents the largest capital project in Goodspeed history. Construction is set to begin this Fall with a target completion date of Fall 2010. A project of this magnitude is certain to have an immediate and positive economic impact in East Haddam as well as throughout the state of Connecticut.

According to a report in Variety, Goodspeed Musicals will present three classics next year, two of which the theater company will be staging for the first time. They include Irving Berlin's 'Annie Get Your Gun,' Bob Merrill's 'Carnival' and Frank Loesser's Pulitzer Prize-winning 'How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying.'
