The John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts announced the selection of the individuals who will receive the 2010 Kennedy Center Honors. Recipients to be honored at the 33rd annual national celebration of the arts are: singer and songwriter Merle Haggard; composer and lyricist Jerry Herman; dancer, choreographer and director Bill T. Jones; songwriter and musician Paul McCartney; and producer, television host and actress Oprah Winfrey.

Loss and What I Wore,' serving as a rep for Bausch + Lomb, to her self titled 'The Florence Henderson Show,' now running on both Direct TV and Comcast for RLTV, as well as the rumors of both an autobiography in the works and potential consideration for 'Dancing With The Stars.'

According to TVGuide.com, the new ABC Family Channel series, 'Melissa and Joey' will premiere on Tuesday, August 17 and 8 pm. Starring Melissa Joan Hart and Joey Lawrence, ten episodes have been ordered for the series. 'Melissa and Joey' stars Lawrence as a nanny working for a female politician (Hart) who is forced to take care of her sister's two kids.

Roundabout Theatre Company (Todd Haimes, Artistic Director) has announced the full cast for Tigers Be Still, a new play by Kim Rosenstock, directed by Sam Gold. Tigers Be Still will feature Reed Birney (Joseph), Halley Feiffer (Sherry), Natasha Lyonne (Grace), John Magaro (Zack).

The Canadian production of the award-winning smash hit Love, Loss, and What I Wore by Nora Ephron and Delia Ephron opens with a new cast tonight - Thursday, August 12 - at 8pm at the Panasonic Theatre.

Variety reports this morning that Love, Loss and What I Wore scribe Nora Ephron is teaming up with Reese Witherspoon, Marc Platt and Fox 2000 to bring a Peggy Lee biopic to the big screen. Ephron will be writing and directing the film, and it is expected that Witherspoon will star. The project is largely Witherspoon's brainchild (she secured the rights to the story from Lee's granddaughter, Holly Foster-Wells) and the details of her performance contract are currently in the works.

Multi award winning playwright/lyricist Steven Sater has chosen LA's Rogue Machine to present the World premiere of his play New York Animals.

CBS has ordered a new daytime talk show for fall 2010 featuring a panel of well-known news and entertainment personalities who will examine topical events and contemporary issues through the eyes of mothers. The daily, one-hour series will be co-hosted by Julie Chen, Sara Gilbert, Sharon Osbourne, Holly Robinson Peete, Leah Remini, and Marissa Jaret Winokur.

Paula Brancati, Lauren Collins, Wendy Crewson, Cynthia Dale, Andrea Martin, and Louise Pitre are officially set to be the first cast of the Toronto production of LOVE, LOSS, AND WHAT I WORE. As in the initial New York staging of the play by Nora and Delia Ephron, the production will feature a company of six that rotates in four-week cycles. The next cast will be announced in the next upcoming weeks.
