Naia Kete of “The Voice” will be featured at Austin's Wildfire Reggae & Arts Festival, March 7-9 just a few days before the start of Austin's most famous music industry conference. Kete's mix of pop, reggae and soul is just one of the many different reggae music genres that can be experienced at the event, from hip-hop reggae, to rock reggae, folk reggae, roots, ska, dub and more. Other nationally-acclaimed artists featured will include Don Carlos, Gyptian, Marlon Asher and the Farmers, the Expanders, Mike Love, and Alex Marley. This year's festival, the largest reggae festival in Austin, will also showcase food, arts and crafts vendors from Texas and beyond, workshops and camping, in addition to the amazing music-in-nature experience.

Celebrating their 50th Anniversary this year, The Beach Boys have performed more than 50 concerts since April and had their highest-ever debut on Billboard's albums chart in June with their critically acclaimed new studio release, That's Why God Made The Radio. The Beach Boys' 50th Anniversary Tour recently concluded its North American run and is now underway in Europe, and the legendary band is pleased to announce plans for the CD and digital release of two new commemorative hits collections by Capitol/EMI today, October 9th in North America. 12 remastered Beach Boys studio albums were also released by Capitol/EMI on September 24th outside of North America and on September 25th in North America.

The Beach Boys' 50th Anniversary reunion celebration is well underway with a major international tour, and the iconic band has another big reason to celebrate this week with their highest-ever Billboard albums chart debut. Their 29th studio album, That's Why God Made The Radio, debuts today at number 3 on Billboard's Top 200 Albums chart. The acclaimed new album, released June 5th by Capitol/BRI, sold 61,000 copies in the U.S. during its first week.

Variety reports that Michael Sucscy ('The Vow') is in negotiations as the possible director of a Beach Boys musical film that would feature a fictional story told through the music of The Beach Boys. Fox 2000 would helm the film. Susannah Grant ('Erin Brockovich') has written an untitled manuscript.
