Queen City Theatre Company Announces Non-Equity Auditions for GREY GARDENS and EVITA, 11/15 & 11/16

Queen City Theatre Company announces auditions for the musicals GREY GARDENS and EVITA to be held on Sunday November 15th from 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm and Monday November 16th from 6:00 pm to 10:00 pm. This is an oportunity for actors/singers to be cast in two of the most succesfull shows of all times in one unified audition for both. GREY GARDENS (book by Doug Wright, music by Scott Frankel and lyrics Michael Korie) and EVITA (music by Andrew Lloyd Webber and lyrics by Tim Rice) are the award winning Broadway hit musicals and now will be produced in Charlotte by Queen City Theatre Company. GREY GARDENS will be receiving its Charlotte and regional debut with this production.

The Tony-nominated musical Grey Gardens, will make it's debut across the Pacific in Japan at Tokyo's Theatre Creation from November 7 - December 6. The production is being directed by Tony-nominated Amon Miyamoto (Pacific Overtures).

Rising singer-songwriter and Sire/Warner Bros. recording artist Regina Spektor will join playwright / director Tina Landau (Floyd Collins) and lyricist Michael Korie (Grey Gardens) to create the new musical BEAUTY, to be produced by Elephant Eye Theatrical (Stuart Oken, Michael Leavitt, Five Cent Productions), aiming for the 2011-12 Broadway season, following an out-of-town tryout to be announced.
