TNT has greenlit Murder in the First, a new scripted drama from Emmy(R)-winner Steven Bochco and starring Taye Diggs (Private Practice) and Kathleen Robertson (Boss). According to The Hollywood Reporter, Paramount's reboot of the hit franchise has been pushed from its original release of June 26, 2015 to July 1, 2015 - just two days ahead of Fox's INDEPENDENCE DAY 2.

Starz Chief Executive Officer Chris Albrecht announced that the network has picked up a second season of the original series, 'Black Sails' from executive producer Michael Bay in advance of its first season premiere. The announcement comes on the heels of the exclusive fan screening at San Diego Comic-Con several months in advance of its on-air premiere in January, 2014. The eight-episode first season of the authentic pirate adventure centers on the tales of Captain Flint (Toby Stephens) and his men, and takes place twenty years prior to Robert Louis Stevenson's classic 'Treasure Island.'

Chris Isaacson Presents and Upright Cabaret have announced that Keith David will join Broadway diva and Tony Award-winner Lillias White's new show, A WOMAN ON LOVE, at the Catalina Jazz Club in Hollywood tonight. There will be two performances only, on Mondays, June 3 and 10 at 8:30pm, with cocktail and dinner service beginning at 6:30pm. The June 10 show also marks the second anniversary of The Night After The Tonys, a tradition begun in 2012 by Ms. White and Upright Cabaret.

Image Entertainment, an RLJ Entertainment (NASDAQ: RLJE) brand, has acquired all US and Canadian rights to Hannibal Classics' new action-thriller Tokarev, starring Nicolas Cage. Tokarev (working title) is scheduled for release in the first quarter of 2014. The deal was announced today by Image Entertainment's Chief Acquisitions Officer, Bill Bromiley.
