Waterwell announces the addition of Kyra Sedgwick, Bobby Cannavale and Stephen Adly Guirgis to its roster of Master Class Artist's for the company's inaugural Summer Theater Lab. They join the previously announced Megan Hilty (Smash), Lin-Manuel Miranda (In the Heights) and Beau Willimon (House of Cards). Faculty and commissioned artists will be announced shortly.

Last night, April 29, The New York Pops marked its 30th birthday with a grand gala evening honoring the musical talents of songwriters Frank Loesser and Jule Styne, and the centennial of legendary entertainer Danny Kaye. Saturday night's episode of NBC's SMASH remained steady in the ratings, tied with its series low of 0.4 adults in the 18-49 demographic. Week to week, 'Smash' took a slight dip in total viewers (1.9 million this week vs. 1.908 million on 4/20).

As BWW reported earlier, NBC will air the Season 2 finale of SMASH on a special night and time. The two-hour episode is scheduled for Sunday, May 26 from 9:00-11:00PM ET. Today, the network released an official synopsis for the episode titled 'The Nominations/The Tonys'

The once highly-touted musical drama series SMASH may have been unceremoniously moved to Saturday nights by its network in the wake of low ratings in its sophomore season, but some of the songs still linger in the memory on Monday mornings, it seems. Case in point: Megan Hilty and Katharine McPhee's cover of the tune Made famous by Frank Sinatra, 'That's Life', has cracked the iTunes Top 100.
