La Jolla Playhouse has announced the cast and creative team for its production of American Night: The Ballad of Juan Jose, written by Richard Montoya (Zorro in Hell) for Culture Clash, developed by Culture Clash and Jo Bonney (The Seven, Adoration of the Old Woman), directed by Jo Bonney. A co-production with Center Theatre Group and originally commissioned and produced by the Oregon Shakespeare Festival, American Night: The Ballad of Juan Jose will run January 27 - February 26, 2012 in the Sheila and Hughes Potiker Theatre.

Florida Repertory Theatre announced the opening of God of Carnage, 2009's Tony-winning BEST PLAY and one of the hottest new plays in America right now. Playing Jan. 6-22 with discounted previews Jan. 3, 4, and 5, God of Carnage is a comedy of BAD manners where two sets of Brooklyn parents attempt to have a civilized discussion about their children's playground scuffle.

Celia Keenan-Bolger and John Ellison Conlee will appear at The Play Group Theatre's 6th Annual Holiday Benefit, honoring Broadway Producer and Chair Emeritus, Barbara Whitman, on Monday December 19that The Play Group Theatre, One North Broadway, White Plains, NY.

Upcoming Theatre Communication Group Member Shows - 12/18 for New Jersey

The Camisade Theatre Company will present their inaugural theatrical production, the World Premiere of Derby Day, written by Samuel Brett Williams and directed by Michole Biancosino, starring Jared Culverhouse, Malcolm Madera, Jake Silbermann and Beth Wittig. Derby Day runs from November 30 to December 17, 2011 in a limited engagement at The Clurman Theatre, located in the Theatre Row Complex at 410 West 42nd Street between 9th and 10th Avenues in New York City. Previews begin November 30 for a December 1 opening.

Grammy Award-winning singer/songwriter and Broadway producer Alicia Keys will host talkback discussions following the STICK FLY performances next week on Monday, December 19th and Thursday, December 22nd at the Cort Theatre (138 W. 48th Street). STICK FLY is written by Lydia R. Diamond and directed by Kenny Leon.

McCarter Theatre will present GATZ, the critically acclaimed theatrical adaptation of F. Scott Fitzgerald's The Great Gatsby, performed by Elevator Repair Service, for four performances only.

In Spring 2011 Suzanne Reading, Ph.D., Director of the Communication Sciences and Disorders Program at Butler University, and James M. Reading, Ph.D. of CARE conducted a study to analyze how theatre affects the social skills of students with autism.

STICK FLY, written by Lydia R. Diamond, directed by Kenny Leon, and produced and with original music by Grammy Award-winning singer/songwriter Alicia Keys, was featured this morning on ABC's 'Good Morning America.' Just in time for the holiday season, Princeton Barnes & Noble at MarketFair on Route 1 will host a bookfair to benefit McCarter Theatre on Sunday, December 11 from 10:00 am to 9:00 pm.

Edward Gero and Patrick Andrews star in Red at Arena Stage at the Mead Center for American Theater, produced in association with Goodman Theatre.

Set at the elegant summer home of the well-to-do LeVay family, STICK FLY begins when two adult sons bring their significant others (one a fiancée, the other a new girlfriend) home to meet their parents for the first time. Soon, secrets are revealed, civilities are dropped and identities are explored in a harsh new light. Race and rivalry, class and family, all come together for an explosive comedy of manners about today's complex world.

This holiday season, McCarter Theatre continues to support local social-service organizations by collecting monetary donations for Allies, Inc. and Trenton Area Soup Kitchen (TASK), during the run of Charles Dickens' A Christmas Carol.
