Artistic Director Eric Schaeffer and Managing Director Maggie Boland announce the full lineup for Signature Theatre's 2015/16 season. “Signature's 26th season continues our commitment to presenting new works and reinventing great American musicals. We're proud that this season also highlights daring new plays by female playwrights,” stated Signature Theatre Artistic Director Eric Schaeffer. “I'm excited to work with so many talented artists in the coming year.”

Virginia's Signature Theatre presents the world premiere production of Soon, a new musical by Nick Blaemire (Glory Days, A Little More Alive). Directed by Matthew Gardiner(Signature's Sunday in the Park with George, Really Really), the ensemble piece will feature Alex Brightman (Jonah; Broadway's Matilda, Big Fish, Wicked), Natascia Diaz(Adrienne; Signature's The Threepenny Opera, Broadway's Man of La Mancha), Jessica Hershberg (Charlie; Broadway's Cinderella, Baby It's You), and Joshua Morgan (Steven; Woolly Mammoth's A Bright New Boise, Arena Stage's Fiddler on the Roof). Signature Theatre has announced the cast of Cabaret, the Tony Award-winning musical, directed and choreographed by Signature Associate Artistic Director Matthew Gardiner (Signature's Sunday in the Park with George, Dreamgirls). Running in the MAX Theatre May 12 - June 28, the John Kander and Fred Ebb classic is the final production of Signature Theatre's 25th Anniversary.

Signature in the Schools, Signature Theatre's flagship education program, presents the world premiere production of Veni, Vidi, Vici, written by writer/director and Signature Theatre's Resident Director of New Works Joe Calarco and directed by Education Director David Zobell. Students from Arlington high schools join professional actor Erin Weaver (The Last Five Years, Xanadu) for this thought-provoking and funny new play, which the students perform in Signature's MAX Theatre. Veni, Vidi, Vici is conceived and written to celebrate the 20th Anniversary of Signature in the Schools and explores the impacts of imperialism.

Virginia's Signature Theatre presents the world premiere production of Kid Victory, a new musical from legendary composer John Kander (Chicago, Cabaret) and acclaimed playwright Greg Pierce (Slowgirl). Established in 2013 by the Kurt Weill Foundation for Music and SDC Foundation, the Kurt Weill Fellowship helps nurture early-career directors and choreographers by acquainting them with the stage work of Kurt Weill or Marc Blitzstein under the guidance of a master director or choreographer. The Fellowship provides the opportunity to assist or observe a master director or choreographer at work on a production, selected by the Kurt Weill Foundation, of a theatrical work composed by Weill or Blitzstein, including musical theater, opera, operetta, and dance works.
