The New York Musical Theatre Festival, in association with Ulmer Theatricals, has announced the world premiere production of Carl Kissin and Robert Baumgartner, Jr.'s DATE OF A LIFETIME, directed by Jeremy Dobrish.

Producers Jeffrey Finn, Jill Furman, John N. Hart Jr., Patrick Milling Smith and Roy Furman have announced the on-sale Ticketing schedule for two-time Tony Award nominee, Emmy Award and Golden Globe winner Alan Rickman (Private Lives, Les Liaisons Dangereuses, the Harry Potter franchise) making his eagerly-anticipated return to Broadway starring in the World Premiere of SEMINAR, a new comedy by Pulitzer Prize finalist and Peabody Award winner Theresa Rebeck (Mauritius, The Understudy, Omnium Gatherum, The Family of Mann, Spike Heels, NBC's upcoming 'Smash'). Directed by acclaimed Obie Award winner Sam Gold (Circle Mirror Transformation, The Aliens, Tigers Be Still, Kin, The Coward) in his Broadway debut, the production will also star Tony Award nominee Lily Rabe (The Merchant of Venice, Steel Magnolias, this summer's lauded A Doll's House at Williamstown) and Obie Award winner Hamish Linklater (The School for Lies, Twelfth Night, 'The New Adventures of Old Christine'). SEMINAR will begin previews on Thursday, October 27, 2011 at The Golden Theatre (252 West 45th Street) with an Opening Night set for Sunday, November 20 at 6:30 PM.

In celebration of the 20th anniversary of Friends In Deed, Emmy Award winner Sarah Jessica Parker and Tony Award winner Matthew Broderick will host 'A Little Jurassic Treasure Hunt,' a once-in-a-lifetime event on Monday, October 3, 2011. At this special benefit event, guests will form teams to trace clues through the American Museum of Natural History in a specially devised hunt created by legendary composer/lyricist Stephen Sondheim. Following a cocktail reception in The Museum's Hall of Mammals, the hunt will take place in the Hall of Saurischian Dinosaurs and the Hall of Ornithischian Dinosaurs before a dinner reception in the Rose Center for Earth and Space. The dinner reception will feature performances of Mr. Sondheim's songs by Tony Award winner Barbara Cook and Tony nominee Raul Esparza.

On Friday, August 26, Nathan Lane, Matthew Broderick, Mario Cantone, Scott Adsit, Joy Behar, Tovah Feldshuh, Eugene Pack and Dayle Reyfel teamed up for tow special edition performances of Celebrity Autobiography at Guild Hall in the Hamptons. Tony Award nominee Bobby Cannavale might soon return to Broadway in the Kathleen Marshall-helmed NICE WORK IF YOU CAN GET IT, according to the NY Post. Cannavale would join the previously announced Matthew Broderick in the musical, and is currrently taking singing lessons to prepare for the role. No official casting announcement has been made.

Tower Heist is an upcoming 2011 crime comedy film directed by Brett Ratner and starring Ben Stiller, Casey Affleck, Matthew Broderick, Eddie Murphy, Alan Alda, Michael Pena, Tea Leoni and Gabourey Sidibe. Produced by Imagine Entertainment and Red Hour Films, it is scheduled for release on November 4, 2011 by Universal Pictures in the US and Momentum Pictures in the UK.

Tony Award-winner Matthew Broderick will soon return to Broadway in the Kathleen Marshal-helmed NICE WORK IF YOU CAN GET IT, but according to the NY Post, he will have to first recover from back surgery that he recently under-went. His spokesperson told NYP, 'Matthew had a sports injury some time ago. He pulled something in his back and recently underwent routine surgery. It was a simple procedure, he is fine and is up and about and back at home.'
