The Drama League (Executive Director, Gabriel Shanks) has announced that Zachary Levi ('Chuck') and Megan Hilty ('Smash') will host the upcoming 82nd Annual Drama League Awards on Friday, May 20, 2016 at the Marriott Marquis Times Square in the Broadway Ballroom (1535 Broadway)beginning at 11:30 a.m. Both Levi and Hilty are celebrated this season for their acclaimed performances in the Roundabout Theatre Company productions of She Loves Me and Noises Off, respectively.

On a bright autumn night in Manchester, a woman named Harper Regan walks away from her job, her home, her husband and her daughter. The play named after her, 'Harper Regan' by English playwright Simon Stephens, stunningly reveals life on the cusp of the working class in modern British society. The author is the 2015 TONY Award-winner for best play ('The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time'). This 2008 play is a dramatic Odyssey navigating family, love and redemption. T. Schreiber Theatre, 151 West 26th Street, will present the piece May 4 to June 4, directed by Terry Schreiber.

ABC Studios has cast the epic event limited series 'When We Rise,' written and created by Academy Award winning screenwriter Dustin Lance Black. Starring in the event limited series are Guy Pearce ('Memento,' 'L.A. Confidential') as LGBT activist Cleve Jones, Mary-Louise Parker ('Weeds,' 'Angels in America') as women's rights leader Roma Guy and Rachel Griffiths ('Brothers and Sisters,' 'Six Feet Under') as her wife, social justice activist Diane. The roles of African American community organizer Ken Jones and transgender activist Cecelia Chung are still to be cast, among others.
The School of Theatre at Florida State to Present HEDDA GABLER

The 2015-2016 School of Theatre Season will close with Henrik Ibsen's infamous Hedda Gabler, directed by Fred Chappell. One of the world's most famous literary heroines, aristocrat Hedda pushes the boundaries of what she can convince others to do in the name of love and shows the world that love, in the wrong hands, can result in greatness and in catastrophe. Hedda Gabler is playing in the Lab Theatre March 25-April 3.
