WaterTower Theatre Artistic Director, Joanie Schultz, today announced that the "Pay It Forward with Pay What You Can" partner for WTT's upcoming production of Bread will be Big Thought in support of DaVerse Lounge.

The 17th annual Tribeca Film Festival, presented by AT&T, revealed its feature film lineup championing the discovery of emerging voices and celebrating new work from established filmmaking talent. To close the Festival, Tribeca will World Premiere The Fourth Estate, from Oscar®-nominated director Liz Garbus, which follows The New York Times' coverage of the Trump administration's first year. The Centerpiece Gala will be the World Premiere of Drake Doremus' sci-fi romance Zoe starring Ewan McGregor, Lea Seydoux, Rashida Jones, and Theo James. The San Francisco Gay Men's Chorus' 40th Season Crescendo Gala Fundraiser - The highly-anticipated Crescendo Gala took place on Saturday, February 24, 2018, at The Fairmont San Francisco. One of Ireland's top live electronic bands, LE GALAXIE charges into the U.S. today (February 23) with 'Day Of The Child,' a track driven by synth leads to send the dance-floor into a frenzy. Called '...architects of exuberant electropop...' by the Irish Times, they are set to release their third studio album PLEASURE through Red River Entertainment April 6. WaterTower Theatre Artistic Director, Joanie Schultz, today announced details for the inaugural DETOUR: A Festival of New Work (March 1 - 4, 2018). This year's Festival will consist of four new play readings, three devised works, and two "late nite" performances.  Highlights from this year's Festival include a reading from Oregon Shakespeare Festival's "Play On!" initiative commissioning modern adaptations of 39 of Shakespeare's works, three new works from rising company Dark Circles Contemporary Dance, the next installment of Brigham Mosley's laugh-out-loud creation, Movies That Should Be Musicals, and more.

Just four months after acclaimed Musical Director Barry Levitt tragically died of a heart attack just hours before a performance at the Laurie Beechman Theatre, Charlotte Patton--a beloved performer for whom Levitt frequently played and was one of his closest friends in Cabaret--died early Thursday morning at Mt. Sinai Hospital after an almost two-year battle with cancer. Both passed away at the age of 70.

Written by Marsha Norman and Lucy Simon and once again directed by KC Wilkerson and Casey Long, The Secret Garden will preview from November 24 through December 1; regular performances will begin December 2 and continue through December 23 at Chance Theater @ Bette Aitken theater arts Center on the Cripe Stage.
