American Repertory Ballet to Perform at McCarter Theatre, 4/8

American Repertory Ballet will present Masters of Dance & Music on Friday, April 8, 2016 at 8 p.m. at McCarter Theatre in downtown Princeton, N.J. The program will feature the world premiere of Mary Barton's A Shepherd Singing (And I Still Heard Nothing), modern dance pioneer Jose Limon's There is a Time and Kirk Peterson's Glazunov Variations. Music for Mary Barton's world premiere - Beethoven's Symphony No. 7 - will be performed live by the Princeton University Orchestra under the direction of Maestro Michael Pratt.

George Street Playhouse and American Repertory Ballet will co-host a discussion on the late ballet and film legend, Rudolf Nureyev, led by Princeton Ballet School Director Mary Pat Robertson, on Friday, February 19, 2016. The discussion -- free and open to the public -- will take place at 7 p.m. at George Street Playhouse (9 Livingston Avenue) prior to that evening's 8 p.m. performance of NUREYEV'S EYES, on stage at GSP now through February 21.

American Repertory Ballet is pleased to announce that it will host its annual Gala performance and reception, Focus Forward: Celebrating 30 Years of Dance Power, on Saturday, March 5, 2016, in downtown New Brunswick, N.J. The performance will begin at 6:00 p.m. at Crossroads Theater with the Waiting in the Wings performance by Dance Power students, and the reception will begin at 7:00 p.m. across the street at the Heldrich Hotel.

George Street Playhouse is proud to host "Be Unstoppable: A Celebration of Healthy Kids in the Arts" as part of the New Brunswick Cultural Center's Hub City Sounds Festival on Saturday, September 19, 2015, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The free event, which also serves as the official "kick-off" of a collaboration between The Horizon Foundation for New Jersey and George Street Playhouse for Austin the Unstoppable, will feature a performance by GSP's Educational Touring Theatre of Austin on the Playhouse's Mainstage at 10:30 a.m. The day also includes interactive activities, a healthy lunch and an afternoon performance by American Repertory Ballet dancers.

Summer Intensive 2015 Master Classes Open to Observers

In its on-going effort to share the joy of dance with a wider audience, the 2015 Summer Intensive Program at American Repertory Ballet's Princeton Ballet School is pleased to announce that its Master Classes will be open to observers. Leading Master Classes will be Broadway dancer Michael Mindlin, New York City Ballet dancer Unity Phelan, and Sarah Hay, a soloist with Semperoper Dresden Ballet. All three received their early training at Princeton Ballet School.
ARB's Princeton Ballet School's Summer Intensive Program Begins This Week

On Monday, June 29, ballet students from around the world started their first day of training at Princeton Ballet School, the official school of NJ's premiere professional ballet company American Repertory Ballet, at the school's studios in the Princeton Shopping Center. This is Princeton Ballet School's 33rd year of offering their Summer Intensive course, making it one of the oldest programs in the United States.
