Last night, September 19, Rosie O'Donnell hosted a special event honoring Nancy Coyne, CEO of Serino Coyne, Ruth Ponturo, Teacher/Choreographer and Marva Smalls, EVP of Public Affairs & Chief of Staff to benefit Rosie's Theatre Kids Foundation. On Saturday, Sept. 24, Nickelodeon will bring for the first time its flagship Worldwide Day of Play (WWDOP) event to the Ellipse in Washington, D.C., for the biggest celebration of active play in the eight-year history of the initiative.

The American Theatre Wing (Theodore S. Chapin, Chairman, Board of Trustees; Heather Hitchens, Executive Director) has announced that its annual Gala will be held on Monday, September 26 at 6:30 PM at The Plaza Hotel (Fifth Avenue at Central Park South) and will honor Sir Howard Stringer, Chairman, Chief Executive Officer and President of Sony Corporation and longtime American Theatre Wing Board Member.

Nickelodeon will go green for Earth Day when the network encourages kids to take positive actions for the environment via The Big Help pro-social campaign and airs special episodes of its popular live-action and animated shows, on April 22.

In recognition of his work as a philanthropist and environmentalist, Nickelodeon will honor actor and musician Justin Timberlake by presenting him with The Big Help Award during Nickelodeon's 2011 Kids' Choice Awards on Saturday, April 2, at 8:00 p.m. (ET/Tape delayed for West Coast). Timberlake will be honored during the star-studded telecast, hosted by Jack Black at USC's Galen Center in Los Angeles. Nickelodeon will honor the First Lady of the United States, Michelle Obama, with the Big Help Award in a special presentation during Nickelodeon's 23rd Annual Kids' Choice Awards on Saturday, March 27. The Big Help Award will pay tribute to the First Lady for her leadership in championing a healthy generation of kids and families through her recently launched Let's Move! initiative. The award recognizes those who seek to better the world, and whose significant impact on their community has inspired kids to do the same.

Last Night, February 8, the stars came out to celebrate the 25th Anniversary of Evidence, A Dance Company, at the Grace in Winter Silver Ball at The Plaza Hotel. The event honored Evidence Founder & Artistic Director Ronald K. Brown and Evidence Chairman, Reginald Van Lee. Victoria Rowell hosted the event, which featured cocktails and an online auction, in addition to performances by Evidence Dance and former Dreamgirl Jennifer Holliday.
