Warner Bros Classic & Contemporary Gangster Films Coming to Blu-ray, 5/21

As part of the studio's 90th Anniversary celebration, eight of Warner Bros. Pictures' greatest gangster films - from Edward G. Robinson's 1931 classic Little Caesar to Martin Scorsese's Oscar-winning masterpiece The Departed[i] -- will now be available in two Blu-ray sets May 21.

Columbia University School of the Arts Film Program and The Film Society of Lincoln Center have announced they will co-present the 26th Annual Columbia University Film Festival (CUFF), a week-long program of screenings, dramatic readings and special events in New York. The celebration will continue with events to be announced for June in Los Angeles. This marks the second year that the festival is co-presented by the Film Society.

Trinity Repertory Company announced today that three local Rhode Island residents will be receiving Pell Awards this year in addition to Kate Burton, who had previously been announced as the recipient of the 2013 Pell Award for Lifetime Achievement in the Arts. The 17th annual Pell Awards will be held on Monday, June 10, 2013 at Trinity Rep with a reception to follow next door at the Providence Public Library.

The celebration in honor of the international film legend's groundbreaking career will feature musical performances and film and interview clips culminating in the presentation of The Chaplin Award by President Bill Clinton.
