Yesterday, July 20, AMC's critically acclaimed television show 'Mad Men' had its season 4 premiere in Hollywood, California. 'Mad Men' was created by Matt Weiner and first aired in 2007. Season 4 will premiere on AMC on July 25. BroadwayWorld brings coverage of the event below.

Stephen McPherson, president, ABC Entertainment Group, will outline ABC's plans for next season and unveil the network's 2010-11 fall schedule before the advertising and media communities this afternoon at Lincoln Center's Avery Fisher Hall.

An ABC rep as confirmed to TV Guide.com that Vanessa Williams will join the cast of Desperate Housewives as a series regular next season. Housewives creator Marc Cherry has been in search for a new trouble-maker for the block since Nicolette Sheridan's departure from the show. While very little is known about her role and participation int the show at this point, it is rumored that her character will be very closely associated with 'Paul' (played by Mark Moses).

Producers Angelo Fraboni and Daryl Roth have announced that the New York premiere of Vigil, written by Morris Panych and directed by Stephen DiMenna, will begin performances Sunday, September 20, at 3pm at the DR2 Theatre, 103 East 15 Street, east of Union Square. The opening is scheduled for Tuesday, September 29 at 7pm.
