This week, United Solo Theatre Festival is launching its new international showcase in Europe. Selected shows will be presented September 12-15, 2013 on the Teatr Syrena stage, a premier, three-hundred seat venue located in downtown Warsaw, Poland. The program includes a solo piece by Regina Advento, a member of Tanztheater Wuppertal Pina Bausch, as well as other shows performed by United Solo veterans and award winners, including Bill Bowers, Mark Gindick, Herbert Kaluza, Ewa Kasprzyk, and Anthony Nikolchev. This overseas showcase in September precedes the major eight-week run of United Solo scheduled for October and November in New York City.

After three successful seasons in New York City, United Solo, the world's largest solo theatre festival, will expand its operations beyond the United States. A selection of high-quality one-person productions, including those awarded in previous seasons, will be presented September 12-15, 2013 on the stage of Teatr Syrena, a premier three-hundred-seat venue located in downtown Warsaw, Poland.

Local and international artists are invited to submit their shows to the world's largest solo theatre festival. Proposals may represent all varieties of solo performance, including storytelling, puppetry, dance, improv, stand-up, magic, drama, and others. One hundred solo productions will be presented between today, October 11 and November 18, 2012, among them fifteen shows by artists who successfully performed at the United Solo Festival in the past.

United Solo, the world's largest solo theatre festival, doubled in size in the past three years. During the upcoming six?week run between October 11 and November 18, a variety of one hundred solo shows will perform at Theatre ROW on 42nd Street in New York. Performers come from all over the world, bringing stories in which they explore global and local issues, address universal dilemmas, and adapt classical literature in shows like "Medea's Got Some Issues," "The Picture of Dorian Gray," and "Vonnegut, Vonnegut."
