Rachelle Ann Go, 27-year-old concert and stage artist, is staging a concert titled 'Miss Rachelle: The Send-off Concert' on Saturday, February 22, 8 p.m. at Meralco Theatre in Manila before she flies to London to revive the role of Gigi in the 25th anniversary production of Cameron Mackintosh's 'Miss Saigon.'

On January 29 & 30, the creators of the international musical sensations LES MISERABLES and MISS SAIGON will present a special concert celebrating their work at the Newport Performing Arts Theatre in Manila to raise funds to offer humanitarian relief and assist the rebuilding efforts after parts of the Philippines were left devastated in the wake of Typhoon Yolanda (Haiyan). The concerts, which will star Lea Salonga, David Harris, and Marie Zamora, will celebrate the works of Alain Boublil and Claude-Michel Schonberg, including musical numbers from Les Miserables, Miss Saigon, La Revolution Francaise, Martin Guerre and The Pirate Queen. Supported by the ABS-CBN Philharmonic Orchestra and a 100-member choir, conducted by musical director Gerard Salonga, the concert is headlined by some of the world's leading musical theatre performers.

DO YOU HEAR THE PEOPLE SING? international concert tour headliner Lea Salonga ("Les Miserables"), sans the show's other two lead stars David Harris ("Legally Blonde") and Marie Zamora ("Les Miserables"), met with the press yesterday, January 22, at Maxims Hotel at Resorts World Manila. Instead, Salonga was joined by the new additions to the cast Jon Joven ("Miss Saigon"), Leo Tavarro Valdez ("Miss Saigon"), Menchu Lauchengco-Yulo ("Miss Saigon"), and Carla Guevara Laforteza ("Miss Saigon") who will perform with Salonga, Harris, and Zamora in the Manila leg of the concert set Wednesday, January 29, and Thursday, January 30, at 8 p.m. at Resorts World Manila's Newport Performing Arts Theatre.

Principal Pops Conductor Jack Everly leads the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra and Baltimore Choral Arts Society in a concert featuring popular favorites from musicals such as Les Miserables and Miss Saigon on Thursday, April 19 at 8 p.m. at the Music Center at Strathmore, Friday, April 20 at 8 p.m., Saturday, April 21 at 8 p.m. and Sunday, April 22 at 3 p.m. at the Joseph Meyerhoff Symphony Hall. The Dallas Pops, American Airlines Center and CBS Radio just presented an epic-size concert event at the American Airlines Center on March 23. The show Do You Hear the People Sing featured the music of Les Misérables, Miss Saigon, in a Broadway-style concert on a scale seldom seen. The show was created by Alain Boublil and Claude-Michel Schönberg, composer and lyricist for Les Misérables, Miss Saigon, Pirate Queen, and more.
