The supernatural power of love is taking the Fox Cities by storm as the new Broadway and West End musical Ghost The Musical, adapted from the Academy Award-winning film, opens at the Fox Cities Performing Arts Center Tuesday, March 18, 2014 through Sunday, March 23, 2014. Tickets go on sale Friday, Dec. 13.

The supernatural power of love is taking East Lansing by storm as the new Broadway and West End musical GHOST THE MUSICAL, adapted from the Academy Award-winning film, opens at Wharton Center for Performing Arts, December 10-15, 2013. Tickets are on sale now online at whartoncenter.com, by calling 1-800-WHARTON, or in person at the Auto-Owners Insurance Ticket Office at Wharton Center. GHOST THE MUSICAL is directed by Tony Award® winner Matthew Warchus (Matilda, God of Carnage, The Norman Conquests, Boeing-Boeing) and choreographed by Ashley Wallen ('The X Factor,' Kylie Minogue, Seal, Madonna's film WE). The musical features book and lyrics by Bruce Joel Rubin (Ghost, Jacob's Ladder, The Time Traveler's Wife) who has adapted his Academy Award-winning original screenplay for the stage, and original music and lyrics by a team of Grammy Award winners, including Dave Stewart (half of the multi-Grammy Award- winning Eurythmics) and Glen Ballard (Michael Jackson's Man In The Mirror, Alanis Morissette's Jagged Little Pill).

The supernatural power of love is taking Pittsburgh by storm as the new Broadway and West End musical Ghost The Musical, adapted from the Academy Award-winning film, will premiere in Pittsburgh from Tuesday, December 31, 2013 through Sunday, January 5, 2014, at Heinz Hall. Ghost The Musical is part of the PNC Broadway Across America-Pittsburgh series presented by the Pittsburgh Cultural Trust, Broadway Across America and Pittsburgh Symphony. Single ticket prices start at $20 and go on sale to the general public on Friday, November 15, 2013, at 9:00 a.m.

Theater Resources Unlimited to Host TRU Love Benefit, 11/17

Theater Resources Unlimited (TRU) announces a preliminary lineup of star performers, and a luminous array of theater notables including Andre Bishop, Terrence McNally and James Naughton, who will help celebrate three extraordinary people at the annual TRU Love Benefit, Honoring Friendship, Remembering Friends. The trio of TRU friends who will be remembered and honored are producer Randall Wreghitt (Little Women, Beauty Queen of Leenane, Grey Gardens, The Lieutenant of Inishmore, Golda's Balcony, As Bees in Honey Drown, The Food Chain) who died unexpectedly at the age of 55 in May 2011, and will be posthumously remembered with the 2013 TRU Spirit of Theater Award; Michael Feingold, former critic with the Village Voice, who will receive the TRU Humanitarian Award for educating generations of theatergoers about the historical, social and cultural context of the shows he reviews; and TRU member and program director Patricia R. Klausner, who will be recognized and applauded with the TRU Entrepreneur Award for her ongoing dedication in both the not-for-profit and commercial producing arenas.

TRU Hosts First Meeting of Producer Development and Mentorship Program

Theater Resources Unlimited (TRU) celebrated the season's first meeting of the TRU Producer Development & Mentorship Program on Monday, September 23 at Langham Place, 400 Fifth Avenue in midtown New York City. The evening was an opportunity for 53 mentee members to meet and mingle with the program directors, producers Michael Alden (Becoming Dr. Ruth, The King's Speech on stage, Grey Gardens, Sarah Jones' Bridge & Tunnel, Bat Boy), Patrick Blake (The Exonerated, In the Continuum, Play Dead) and Patricia Klausner producing manager of Shotgun Productions and commercial producer (Pippin, The Trip to Bountiful, Stick Fly, The Scottsboro Boys), plus prospective mentors for the coming year who will guide and advise them on their producing goals.

Lynch Theater at John Jay College. The production starred Candice Bergen, John McMartin, Sean Palmer, Bill Duell, John Windsor Cunningham, and Jessica Grove. As previously reported, on October 25th, James Goldman and Stephen Sondheim's never-before-staged Evening Primrose - will take a one-night-only bow to benefit the St. George's Society of New York 's Anglo-American Cultural Awards at the Gerald W. Lynch Theater at John Jay College. In addition to Candice Bergen, John McMartin, Sean Palmer, Bill Duell, and John Windsor Cunningham, Jessica Grove is also joining the production.
