Beginning Monday, August 1, JENNIFER DiNOIA will assume the role of Elphaba in the Broadway company of WICKED.  Jennifer has performed the role of Elphaba in seven companies across four countries, more than any other actress in the show's history.  

WICKED, the West End and Broadway musical phenomenon that tells the incredible untold story of the Witches of Oz, is delighted to announce that Jacqueline Hughes (Elphaba), Carly Anderson (Glinda), Bradley Jaden (Fiyero), Steven Pinder (The Wizard and Doctor Dillamond), Kim Ismay (Madame Morrible), Iddon Jones (Boq), Emily Shaw (Nessarose) and Jodie Steele (Standby for Elphaba) will lead the cast at the Alhambra Theatre, Bradford from Wednesday 20 July 2016 (and on its subsequent international tour).

The first annual Broadway Bee, featuring Paige Davis (Chicago), Laura Michelle Kelly (Finding Neverland), Tony winner Christian Borle (Something Rotten), and Jose Llana (The King and I) took place just last night at The Cutting Room (44 E. 32nd St). Proceeds benefit Broadway Bound Kids, a NYC performing arts education organization. Ten teams, each representing a Broadway show, were encouraged to pull out all the stops to correctly spell the words. The more funds each team raised, the more they were allowed to cheat!

About two months ago, BroadwayWorld reported that Lin-Manuel Miranda was in talks to star in Disney's MARY POPPINS sequel. Now, due to Disney setting the release dates for their upcoming live action films, The Wrap has confirmed that Miranda is officially on tap to star in the film, alongside INTO THE WOODS star, Emily Blunt.

Yesterday, Broadway's Idina Menzel headed one the Tribeca Film Festival's talks titled STORYTELLERS - IDINA MENZEL, in which she talked about her life and career in front of a audience.

Idina Menzel has trail blazed a career in film, television and theater. Starting at the inception of stage shows, she has made not only made roles iconic, but has also performed in a variety of mediums and showcased her abilities as a songwriter. WICKED, the West End musical phenomenon that tells the incredible untold story of the Witches of Oz, was delighted to welcome Beau Dermott and her family to the Apollo Victoria Theatre last night (Friday 15 April), where she met the cast after the show. 12 year old Beau's rendition of Wicked's hit song 'Defying Gravity' wowed the judges on ITV's Britain's Got Talent, winning her the 'Golden Buzzer' and immediately securing herself a place in the live semi-finals.

Actor and presenter Curry took over the role on March 25, alongside Emma Hatton (Elphaba), Savannah Stevenson (Glinda), Oliver Savile (Fiyero), Liza Sadovy (Madame Morrible), Sean Kearns (Doctor Dillamond), Daniel Hope (Boq) and Katie Rowley Jones (Nessarose).
