City Winery Chicago, one of the city's newest music venues and philanthropic supporter of music education, will host and sponsor a special concert to benefit its West Loop neighbor, Merit School of Music. Tonight, June 24 The Three Ellas, a veteran female vocal jazz trio, and 11-year-old newcomer Mae Ya Carter Ryan, will perform a brilliant jazz repertoire. All net proceeds from the event will subsidize Merit's music education programs.

Tonight, June 22, 2013, SummerStage will present 'Make a Joyful Noise' - A Tribute to Mahalia Jackson , featuring JOSHUA NELSON, the 'Prince of Kosher Gospel', with special guest Della Reese. Plus a full-length screening of 'Mahalia Jackson: The Power and the Glory', in association with ImageNation Cinema Foundation. The FREE show will be held at Central Park, Manhattan. To coincide with the 20-year anniversary of the Ford Partnership Program, which nurtures locally based artists and arts organizations, the Los Angeles County Arts Commission presents the inaugural Zev Yaroslavsky Signatures Series. This two-concert program benefiting the Ford Theatre Foundation pairs world-renowned performers with a local artistic treasure, celebrating Los Angeles as a destination for world-class artists, who find here both collaboration with, and inspiration from, celebrated local artists.

Zebra is a Hard rock band founded in 1975 in New Orleans, Louisiana. Hit singles 'Tell Me What You Want' and 'Who's Behind The Door'. It features Randy Jackson (guitar and vocals), Felix Hanemann (bass, keyboards and vocals) and Guy Gelso (drums and vocals). Their mainstream debut on Atlantic Records was in 1983 with their eponymous album, highlighted by the singles 'Tell Me What You Want' and 'Who's Behind The Door'. Zebra got their start on the US East Coast club circuit, frequently playing at clubs on Long Island, NY.
