The next wave of nominees has been announced for Teen Choice 2010 airing Monday, Aug. 9 (8:00-10:00 PM ET/PT) on FOX. New categories include Choice Movie Scene Stealer, Choice Celebrity Fashion Line, Choice Web Star, Choice Smile, Choice American Idol Alum, Choice Country Song, and Choice Country Album. 'Glee' and 'The Twilight Saga: New Moon' lead the second wave of Teen Choice 2010 nominees with 9 nominations each.

'Fred: The Movie' To Premiere on Nickelodeon

(Source: Nickelodeon) 'Fred' (a.k.a. 'Fred Figglehorn'), one of the most popular internet characters of all time, will land on Nickelodeon in his first-ever feature film, Fred: The Movie, it was announced today at Nickelodeon's Los Angeles upfront presentation by Cyma Zarghami, President, Nickelodeon/MTV Networks' Kids & Family Group. Similar to real-life teenager Lucas Cruikshank's fast-talking, hyperactive YouTube videos that have received upwards of 500 million views, the film will center on Fred's latest adventure in trying to win over his unrequited love, Judy. Fred: The Movie is produced by Brian Robbins and Sharla Sumpter Bridgett of Varsity Pictures and Gary Binkow and Evan Weiss of The Collective. Fred: The Movie is set to premiere later this year.

Nickelodeon Brings Upfront Presentation to L.A.; Announces Additions to Fall Programming

Nickelodeon brought its annual Upfront presentation to Los Angeles for the first time ever, where it announced new additions to its robust 2010-11 programming slate originally unveiled during its March 11 presentation in New York. Joining six new series and new seasons of 16 returning hits such as top-ranked iCarly, SpongeBob SquarePants and Team Umizoomi, Nickelodeon also will premiere three new TV movies, including: Fred: The Movie, starring Lucas Cruikshank as online sensation Fred Figglehorn; Boy Who Cried Werewolf, starring Victoria Justice and Brooke Shields; and Best Player starring iCarly's Jerry Trainor and Jennette McCurdy. Nickelodeon also has acquired My Wife and Kids (123 episodes), starring Damon Wayans (In Living Color, Major Payne), which will debut on Nick at Nite this fall.
